The Role We're looking for a Head of Software Engineering to own the entire platform engineering function. You'll lead a distributed org of 50+ engineers across several European locations, reporting directly to the CTPO. This isn't a hands-on IC role or a single-team tech lead position. It's a whole-org ownership role for someone who has personally led large, distributed engineering organizations as a manager-of-managers and driven engineering strategy, standards, and modernization at scale. What You'll Do - Lead and grow the software engineering organization (~50+ engineers, scaling) across multiple European sites - Set engineering strategy, technical standards, and modernization roadmap for the entire platform - Drive post-acquisition integration: technical due diligence, onboarding, and integration of acquired engineering teams - Lead platform harmonization and modernization of legacy applications across a multi-brand group - Partner with product, commercial, and enterprise stakeholders to deliver on business objectives - Build a high-trust, high-velocity engineering culture across geographies What We're Looking For Required: - Current or recent Head / Director of Software Engineering, VP Engineering, or equivalent at an enterprise B2B SaaS company - Proven leadership of distributed engineering teams across geographies - manager-of-managers scope, ~40-120+ engineers - Broad modern-stack understanding across backend, frontend, and mobile - Strong enterprise-stakeholder communication skills - Fluent English (C1+) - Based in or near Krakow, Poland, or clearly relocatable Strongly valued: - Experience with M&A integration: technical due diligence and onboarding of acquired engineering teams - Platform harmonization / modernization of legacy applications - Multi-brand or post-acquisition platform consolidation - PropTech, CAFM, property, industrial, or ERP domain knowledge - Experience owning the whole engineering org at a mid-market/scale-up SaaS company Why Join - High-impact role at a well-funded, profitable, scaling SaaS business with a clear growth trajectory - Own engineering for the entire platform - not a slice of a 10k-person mega-corp - Work on real technical challenges: multi-entity platform consolidation, M&A integration, modernization at scale - Enterprise-grade clients with complex, meaningful use cases - Hybrid setup in Krakow with a strong, growing team across Europe Locations Cracow Remote status Hybrid Yearly salary PLN540,000 - PLN600,000 Employment type Full-time Employment level Executive/Senior Level Recruitment Speed 21 days
