Shape the Future of Water Asset Management We're looking for an exceptional Head of Water Asset Catchment & Dams to lead the strategic management of critical water infrastructure, ensuring safe, resilient, and sustainable asset performance for generations to come. This is a high-profile leadership role where you'll drive the long-term planning, optimisation, and lifecycle management of catchment and dam assets. You'll play a pivotal role in delivering regulatory compliance, protecting water quality, enhancing environmental outcomes, and supporting business-wide investment decisions. What you'll be doing: As Head of Water Asset Catchment & Dams, you will: Develop and deliver long-term asset strategies that support customer, environmental, and business objectives. Lead the planning and prioritisation of capital maintenance and enhancement programmes across the water asset portfolio. Own dam safety, compliance, and infrastructure management activities. Provide strategic leadership for AMP and future business planning cycles, shaping investment decisions and regulatory submissions. Champion risk-based and data-driven asset management approaches, embedding best practice across the organisation. Use asset health, performance, and whole-life cost data to identify and justify investment opportunities. Work closely with Operations, Engineering, Water Quality, Regulation, Finance, and external regulators to ensure aligned planning and delivery. Lead, develop, and inspire a specialist asset management team. Drive innovation, resilience, sustainability, and continuous improvement across the asset base. What we're looking for: We're seeking a strategic leader with significant experience in asset management within the water, utilities, infrastructure, or related sectors. You'll bring: Proven leadership experience managing complex asset portfolios and teams. Strong knowledge of asset management principles and frameworks, including ISO 55000. Experience developing asset strategies, investment plans, and long-term infrastructure programmes. A deep understanding of regulatory environments and capital investment processes. Strong commercial acumen, with experience in risk-based investment and whole-life cost modelling. Knowledge of business planning and regulatory cycles such as AMP/Price Reviews. Experience using asset management systems, GIS platforms, or similar analytical tools. Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills. Qualifications Essential: Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Asset Management, or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer status or equivalent professional accreditation. Why join us?
