Job Level: Head, Pediatrics and Rare Disease COE Location: Home-based in USA Job Overview The Head of the Pediatric and Rare Disease COE provides strategic medical and scientific leadership, subject matter experience and expertise to IQVIA, in pediatrics and rare disease. They independently lead activities that include but are not necessarily limited to early engagement of potential customers, proposal development in response to RFPs, participation in client proposal bid defense meetings, act as a medical director and subject matter expertise as a consultant throughout the research and development lifecycle and the duration of clinical trials, and/or as an independent customer solution. They collaborate across the organization to ensure that all of IQVIA's resources are fully leveraged in opportunities. The lead the growth of our pediatrics and rare disease franchise. Participation in thought leadership activities is highly encouraged. May have 1-3 direct reports. Role & Responsibilities Lead strategic direction of Pediatrics and Rare Disease as the therapeutic area head Demonstrate oversight in strategic proposal development in conjunction with leaders of other functions. Act as a consultant to their team members throughout the research and development life cycle and the duration of clinical trials. Typically requires a minimum of ten years of prior relevant experience. Will have a minimum of five years of experience outside of the training period with the biopharmaceutical industry either directly or indirectly. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time).
