Health Informatics Specialist III

We’re seeking an experienced Health Informatics Specialist III to support enterprise level clinical and operational initiatives across a major pediatric healthcare system. This role partners with clinical, business, and DTS teams to design, implement, optimize, and evaluate clinical and non clinical information systems. A major focus is virtual care, including telehealth, remote patient monitoring, workflow redesign, and capability transfer to internal teams. Required Skills • Telehealth implementation • Remote patient monitoring • Clinical workflow redesign • Requirements gathering • Healthcare operations • Facilitation skills • Capability transfer: mentoring EHI team members, creating reusable templates, developing workflow standards, documenting lessons learned, training internal resources Preferred Experience • 5+ years nursing/clinical/operational experience • 3+ years informatics experience • Progressive leadership • Complex workflow support (nursing, interprofessional care, revenue cycle, patient access, ancillary services, scheduling/throughput) • Epic experience • Ambulatory + pediatric operations • Digital patient engagement, virtual nursing, hospital at home, AI enabled virtual care • Consumer digital health strategy Strategic Work: current state assessments, future state design, virtual care roadmap, governance, KPIs Tactical Work: workflow mapping, stakeholder interviews, business process analysis, vendor evaluation, implementation planning Implementation: design sessions, Epic build support, operational readiness, testing, adoption/optimization Key Responsibilities • Act as liaison between DTS and clinical/operational teams • Lead unit level teams and support enterprise governance • Analyze DTS solutions for clinical, operational, and research impact • Communicate updates to stakeholders and present findings • Support downtime workflows and EHR reconciliation • Standardize processes using evidence based and regulatory aligned methods • Perform gap analyses, risk/benefit assessments, and testing • Document current/future state workflows • Serve as consultant for complex process improvement initiatives • Ensure integration across Epic modules and track project progress • Support data quality, decision support tools, and auditing processes • Participate in Epic vendor visits • Support nursing research, training materials, and ongoing system education • Engage in scholarly activities (publications, presentations, posters) Education • Bachelor’s Degree required
