Heavin School of Social Science, Humanities and Education Intern 15-20 hours per week, $20 per hour, 10-week Fall Internship Heavin School of Arts & Sciences, Thomas Edison State University Career Accelerator Internship Grant Program Remote Student eligibility: Current student or recent graduate of a New Jersey college or university; college student who is a NJ resident Thomas Edison State University was founded in 1972 to break down barriers to degree completion. Fifty years later, it proudly serves a diverse body of adult students with innovative and professionally relevant academic programming in a predominantly online delivery. Our team of high-energy student-focused professionals is welcoming new members who are making their mark in education and are ready to help change the lives of thousands of adult students across New Jersey and around the world. Candidates who are excited by changing lives, committed to the success of all and want to be challenged by new and innovative opportunities, should submit an application. Summary: This 15-20 hour per week ($20 per hour), 10-week remote internship will support the initiatives of Thomas Edison State University’s Heavin School of Social Sciences, Humanities, and Education. The Heavin School offers an interdisciplinary approach to lifelong learning for adult learners interested in exploring the values and insights inherent in the liberal arts, humanities, and social sciences. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of the Heavin School, the intern will have met the following learning objectives by the end of the internship: - Gain an understanding of the administration and operation of a school-level unit at an institution of higher education -Develop research skills - Receive an introduction to higher education academic administration as a career Responsibilities, duties, and projects: - Research Projects - Website Content Review - Clerical Work - Document Preparation - Presentation Preparation - Other Duties as Assigned Desired major(s): Education, Humanities & Languages, Social Sciences Requirements: Student Eligibility: - Current NJ undergraduate student - Current NJ graduate student - Recent NJ college graduate: must have graduated less than one year prior to start of the internship experience (May 2025-May 2026 graduates) - A current undergraduate student who is a permanent NJ resident How to Apply: Students should submit a resume, cover letter, and transcript.
