About the Role

We are looking for a detailed-oriented Height Safety Estimator to join our team. You will be responsible for reviewing site plans, conducting assessments, and providing precise cost estimates for fall protection systems, roof safety access, and height safety solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan & Spec Review: Interpret architectural drawings, roof plans, and engineering specifications to determine height safety requirements.
• Cost Estimation: Calculate labor, materials, and equipment costs to produce detailed, accurate quotes and tenders.
• Site Visits: Conduct pre-construction site surveys and risk assessments where necessary.
• Compliance: Ensure all quotes align with local workplace health and safety (WHS) standards and fall protection regulations.
• Client & Vendor Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, builders, suppliers, and safety consultants to negotiate costs and finalize proposals.

Key Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of estimating experience within height safety, roofing, metal fabrication, or general construction.
• Industry Knowledge: Solid understanding of height safety standards (e.g., AS/NZS 1891, WHS regulations, anchor points, static lines, guardrails AS/NZS).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimating software, Bluebeam, AutoCAD, or similar plan-reading tools.
• Communication: Strong negotiation skills and the ability to present detailed quotes clearly to clients.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of accuracy in a remote setting.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple quotes, deadlines, and priorities.
• Relevant qualification in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
• Understanding of workplace health and safety concepts and a commitment to promoting safe work practices.
