JOB PURPOSE The Home Care team (Laundry and Home & Hygiene) is looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Marketing Manager who will help develop our laundry category and business success further. You will be responsible for driving the innovation and renovation agenda of our laundry brands (starting with Robijn but also Omo and Neutral) in the Netherlands & Belgium located in Rotterdam. The Laundry team is part of the Home Care team, a big growth opportunity within Unilever, with a great mix of local and global brands. As a Marketing Manager, you are responsible together with the team for driving & delivering the yearly business results for our laundry brands and pave the way for the future. Currently the team is working on a local brand and portfolio plans with product renovation & innovations in current and future portfolio, working on the brand strategy that will deliver against the desired growth. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for leading and delivering this innovation roadmap while crafting the Brand and Communication Strategy in a purposeful way. In this role you will have a large variety of stakeholders like local Home Care marketing, sales, finance, R&D, media, the digital hub, and agencies as well as the regional & global Marketing, Customer & Market Insights (CMI), Supply Chain and R&D teams. The laundry team works in an agile collaborative way supporting the total Home Care category with delivery of projects. This role gives the opportunity to drive in-market success through developing and, together with the team, implementing effective and integrated Brand Marketing Plans, delivering innovations and renovations on time in full and brilliant communication. WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE? Lead innovation and renovation roadmap for Laundry category Deliver leading edge brand assets and designs on the brand, while developing our brand purpose and growing brand power Identify and implement future growth opportunities based on in-depth consumer insights and anticipating competition. Develop in-depth understanding of and expertise in the Laundry category and trends Co-responsibility for the P&L in order to deliver on growth and profit targets as well as effective budget management Shape the (re)innovation / Integrated Business Planning (IBP) plan Craft Campaigns: innovations + masterbrand + always-on throughout funnel Lead external partnerships Monitor in-market performance (both brand, product and communication) and take responsive actions with the team (Category Management / Brand building) Own budget planning & controlling Contribute to the development of three direct reports through effective coaching and advocating for appropriate training opportunities Co-lead together with the HC Digital Hub the online development of the brand SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU SHOULD HAVE Laundry lover with an absolute growth mindset You have an innate curiosity for what’s driving consumers Business acumen and cross functional understanding and capabilities Strong brand development experience Demonstrated experience driving innovation roadmaps Must be a strategic thinker who is comfortable applying insights to creative, evaluating creative and articulating feedback Proven experience in developing and implementing effective and integrated Brand Marketing Plans Proven experience in P&L ownership and accountability Strong stakeholder management Strong & proven manager of self and others with a passion for capability building.
