Job Summary The Housing Coordinator works with current, prospective, and newly hired employees, as well as contingent workers, to understand their housing needs and challenges and assist them in securing appropriate housing. This role develops expertise in all aspects of the housing market and supports efforts to build a network of landlords, realtors, and other housing stakeholders to expand housing opportunities for MGB staff. The Housing Coordinator also monitors and reports on workforce housing needs to help inform MGB's overall housing strategy. In addition, this position supports all aspects of MGB workforce housing operations, including occupancy, maintenance, and property management. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions -Supports efforts to build and maintain strong relationships with housing providers, landlords, and community partners to support employee housing needs. -Serves as a housing advocate and resource for employees by helping identify housing opportunities, communicating listings, and supporting placement on the island. -Manages housing records, agreements, keys, property information, inventories, and leased property documentation in accordance with Hospital procedures and lease requirements. -Uses housing databases and software to schedule arrivals and departures, track occupancy, maintain tenancy records, coordinate turnover cleanings, and generate usage, occupancy, and shortage reports. -Coordinates tenant move-in materials, including housing agreements, guidelines, directions, inventory/condition reports, recycling information, and keys. -Supports housing operations by entering maintenance work orders, coordinating repairs and lockouts with vendors, addressing routine tenant concerns, and escalating unusual situations as needed. -Communicates regularly with Housing leadership regarding current and future occupants, housing needs, hoteling arrangements, and operational updates. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or Equivalent required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience General office or administrative experience 2-3 years required and experience within a healthcare or community service environment 1-2 years preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including English proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and typing. - Strong organizational, time management, and attention-to-detail skills with the ability to meet deadlines. - Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle confidential matters with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively, using strong problem-solving skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office and related software.
