This limited duration position will play a pivotal role in supporting, establishing and maintaining procedures and controls for Housing Division initiatives that advance housing production, affordability, and choice in partnership with local governments, the State, and other partners. This position will play a critical part in helping the Housing Division run smoothly and effectively in the face of a challenging and high pressure workload. Working closely with the Division’s Administrative Specialist and Division Manager, you will help shape and implement the systems, procedures, and practices that make the work of the division’s technical staff efficient and sustainable. Because this is a limited‑duration role, a major focus will be creating tools and structures that continue supporting the division long after the position concludes. You’ll also collaborate directly with the Housing Division Manager to support the administration of our technical assistance and grant programs that support the work of local governments across Oregon meet their housing needs. As the Housing Division Coordinator you will: Participate and engage in efforts to further agency wide efforts to develop and implement equity. Partner with the Division’s Administrative Specialist to keep daily operations running smoothly through well‑designed systems, processes, and workflows. Manage and update information in the Housing Division’s grants management software to ensure projects are progressing on schedule, in coordination with the Housing Division Manager. Connect the dots between policy development, programmatic workloads, and team structure to anticipate and identify solutions to common operational hurdles. Establish and maintain procedures and controls for Housing Division’s technical assistance to local governments. Draft routine letters and contracts, maintain files and databases ensuring they are uniform, comprehensive, and recorded/archived in accordance with program protocol. The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is a PERS participating member, they will have the base salary increased by 6.95% and pay the 6% employee contribution to PERS. Successful candidates who are not yet a PERS participating member, will receive the 6.95% pay increase and begin the 6% employee contribution upon participating in PERS.
