Opportunity Type: Temporary or Intern (Paid) (Fixed Term) Summary: The intern will contribute to the Collective by supporting knowledge management and learning; story-telling and communication; supporting administration and the facilitation of mainly remote workshops and meetings. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in an international development organization focused on housing, work with teams from across the globe, and contribute to impactful housing solutions. Given that the work spans various time zones there may be limited occasions when work outside normal working hours (of 9am – 5pm) will be required. These will be kept to a minimum and will not be mandatory. Key Responsibilities: Position Objectives and Scope of Work Objectives The primary objectives of this internship are to: Knowledge management and learning Story-telling and communication within the Collective and outside Administration and facilitation Scope of Work The intern will perform the following tasks under the supervision of the Program Director – Africa, Asia Pacific and Europe and Middle East in the Housing Opportunities and Mission Engagement team: Knowledge management and learning Update, manage and curate a filing system for the Gender Equity Curiosity Collective Reviewing team plans (and other related documentation) to identify connective threads between teams or potential areas for exchange and learning Supporting the Program Director to ensure that relevant documentation is translated and uploaded to shared drives and internal intranet Writing notes from learning sessions and ensuring that they are shared with Collective participants Supporting the updating of core frameworks, guidance and tool (as we learn from practice) Story-telling and communication within the Collective and outside Capture and communicate learning stories from the Collective; Edit videos, write blogs or other communications based on Collective related learning and reflections sessions for broader audiences; Identify compelling ‘success’ stories and communicating them; developing presentations Administration and facilitation Support the organization, scheduling and note taking for Collective related meetings; Offer support to facilitators in (remote) workshops and meetings (e.g. support with technology, putting people into groups, ensuring sessions are recorded, ensuring the interpretation works, capturing highlights) Help us learn how to be more efficient and effective in file storage, accessibility and use. Hiring range: For paid interns in the US, the rate of pay is $17.00 per hour (undergraduate student) or $19.00 per hour (graduate student).
