Title: HR Administrator FLSA Status: Hourly-non-exempt Shift: 1st Shift – Typically Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm (depending on HR project) Reports to: HR Director Department: HR Employment Status: Full Time Supervisory Responsibilities: No Location: In-office/virtual Date Created/Last Evaluated: July 2026 Summary The Human Resources Administrator provides administrative support to the Human Resources department across a variety of HR functions, including benefits administration, workers’ compensation, employee relations, compliance and training. This position will assist with day-to-day HR operations and provide support based on organizational needs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, able to maintain confidentiality, and interested in gaining exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources. Job Description: General HR Administrative Support • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department. • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation. • Assist with filing, scanning, organizing, and maintaining confidential HR documents. • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and HR-related documentation. • Assist with HR projects and administrative tasks as assigned. • Provide professional customer service to employees, managers, and applicants. • Assist in unemployment tracking • Assist in School Drug Testing Administrative duties Benefits Administrative Support • Assist with benefit enrollment processes and employee documentation. • Support open enrollment activities. • Assist with benefit audits and administrative tracking. Workers’ Compensation Administrative Support • Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and administrative tasks. Employee Relations Administrative Support • Support HR team with employee communications. • Assist with tracking employee acknowledgments, policies, and required documentation. Compliance Administrative Support • Support HR audits and recordkeeping requirements. • Assist with tracking required forms, training records, and certifications. • Assist with Background review Work/Education Experience Requirements: • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including telephone and email etiquette. Physical Demands Position may require individual to lift up to 25 pounds, bend, stoop, kneel and reach on occasion. Position may require frequent traveling to prospective and existing clients and branches. Depending on need, 2nd shift and 3rd shift presences may be requested. Work Environment: Normal office work conditions apply for this position: normal heating and cooling temperatures, operation of basic office machinery (copy machine, fax machine, computers and scanners), and normal exposure to noise such as office machinery, telephones and visitors in a busy office.
