In this vital role, you'll be the backbone of our people operations — ensuring our caregivers and staff are supported, paid accurately, and set up for success. Responsibilities: Process bi-weekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees Maintain and update employee records, HR databases, and personnel files Manage onboarding and offboarding processes, including new hire paperwork and orientations Administer employee benefits, including health insurance enrollments and changes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and healthcare regulations Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and HR policies Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting jobs and coordinating interviews Prepare HR and payroll reports for management as needed Requirements: 2+ years of experience in HR administration, payroll processing, or a related role Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Paychex, or similar platforms preferred) Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and compliance requirements Experience in a healthcare or home health setting is a plus Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a people-first attitude Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion About Us: Care Essentials Home Health is a trusted provider of compassionate, high-quality home health services dedicated to improving the lives of patients and families in our community.
