Local Unit & Position Description We are looking for a proactive and dedicated HR Business Partner to join our Maritime Region Greater China team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take part in our growth journey and shaping the HR practices across our operations in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. You will help support a workforce of currently ~600 employees which is set for further growth. This position can be based in Dalian or Shanghai, China, reporting directly to the Regional HR Manager Greater China. Occasional travel within the region is expected. Key Responsibilities: As HR Business Partner, you will collaborate closely and support the Regional HR Manager to design, implement, and refine HR strategies that support our business goals. This role combines creative thinking with hands-on operational excellence to deliver effective HR solutions across the region. You will support the Regional HR Manager with: Strategic & Operational HR Support the development and execution of regional HR initiatives and annual plans Drive the implementation of corporate and Maritime HR programs within the region Ensure the delivery of high‑quality, efficient HR services People & Organizational Development Manage competence, talent, and succession development processes Facilitate leadership development and support capability‑building initiatives Contribute to organizational design, workforce planning, and change management Performance, Engagement & Culture Coordinate performance management cycles and follow-up actions Drive employee engagement activities and help strengthen a positive workplace culture Compensation, Benefits & Employee Lifecycle Support annual salary reviews, promotion cycles, and compensation processes Oversee recruitment, international assignments (IA), retention initiatives, and end‑of‑employment processes Ensure accurate HR reporting and support data‑driven decision‑making Monitor compliance with local and regional HR policies and procedures HR Operations & Analytics Ensure accurate HR reporting and support data‑driven decision‑making Monitor compliance with local and regional HR policies and procedures A role within a truly international company with more than 160 years of history. Position Qualifications Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field Minimum 5 years of HR experience, ideally covering organizational, people and leadership development Cultural awareness and experience in working with people from different cultures/geographies Proficiency in MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel Solid experience with HR information systems and HR analytics tools Excellent command in English, both written and verbally Personal qualities Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills Proactive, self-driven, and capable of working independently Creative, curious, and open to new ideas Willingness to engage in hands on tasks Strong problem‑solving mindset High integrity and professional ethics
