HR Generalist
Location: Meath | Hybrid – 2 Days in Office
Salary: €40,000–€50,000 DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Osborne Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a leading global organisation to recruit an experienced HR Generalist for their team based in Meath.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on and proactive HR professional who enjoys working across the full employee lifecycle. You will take ownership of the Irish HR function, acting as a key point of contact for employees and managers locally while reporting into and working closely with a wider international HR team.
The role offers a broad and varied remit across HR administration, employee relations, payroll, employee benefits, people processes and policy development. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global organisation with a strong employee offering and genuine flexibility.
The Role
As HR Generalist, you will provide professional and practical HR support across the business, ensuring employees and managers receive a high-quality and consistent service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, HR administration, system updates, employee changes and offboarding.
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries and providing advice and support to employees and managers.
- Managing employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance, probation, absence, family leave and flexible working requests.
- Supporting managers with investigations, meetings and employee relations processes.
- Providing practical and commercially focused HR advice and coaching to managers.
- Supporting organisational change and restructuring activity where required.
- Managing HR administration and ensuring accurate employee records and documentation are maintained.
- Administering the monthly payroll process for the Irish employee population and liaising with the wider payroll team to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.
- Managing employee benefits and supporting employees with benefit-related queries.
- Administering and coordinating company perks and reward initiatives.
- Supporting the review and development of HR policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with Irish employment legislation.
- Using HR data to identify trends across areas such as absence, employee relations and engagement.
- Supporting annual HR processes including performance management, talent, reward and employee engagement initiatives.
- Supporting recruitment and wider People & Culture projects as required.
- Managing relevant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Ireland and the wider international HR team.
The Person
The successful candidate will be an experienced HR Generalist who is comfortable working independently while also collaborating with a wider HR function.
You will ideally have:
- Previous experience in a broad HR Generalist role.
- Strong employee relations experience, with the ability to manage cases from start to finish.
- Experience across the full employee lifecycle.
- Previous payroll administration experience.
- Strong knowledge of Irish employment legislation and HR best practice.
- Experience supporting and coaching managers on people-related matters.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A high level of attention to detail and discretion when handling confidential information.
- Experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate employee data.
- CIPD qualification, part qualification or equivalent HR experience would be advantageous.
- A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work effectively as part of a wider international HR team.
