HR Generalist (Recruitment & Payroll)

About the Role We're looking for an HR Generalist to own and support the day-to-day people function at Hypergen, covering recruitment, payroll and personnel administration, HR operations, and employee development. This is a hands-on role for someone who is highly organized, comfortable working independently, and has practical experience with Bulgarian payroll (ТРЗ), personnel administration, and employment legislation . What You'll Do Own the full hiring process: job posts, sourcing, screening, interviews, and offers Maintain candidate pipelines for key roles Coordinate interviews, collect feedback, and ensure a strong candidate experience Prepare employment contracts, amendments, HR orders, and other personnel documentation Administer hires, terminations, vacation, sick leave, and other employee changes Prepare payroll data and coordinate monthly payroll with accounting Maintain accurate personnel files and ensure compliance with the Bulgarian Labour Code, employment legislation, and GDPR Manage onboarding and exit processes and track key HR deadlines, including probation periods, contract expirations, and performance reviews Maintain and improve internal HR processes and documentation Support performance reviews, employee development, training, and other people initiatives Gather employee feedback and help identify opportunities to improve employee experience and engagement 2+ years of experience as an HR Generalist, HR Specialist, or in a similar role Practical experience with Bulgarian payroll (ТРЗ) and personnel administration Strong working knowledge of the Bulgarian Labour Code and employment documentation Hands-on experience managing the full recruitment cycle Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and manage multiple deadlines Excellent written and spoken English High level of discretion when handling confidential information Based in Sofia, Bulgaria , and available for a hybrid work setup What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience Ownership across a broad range of HR responsibilities A role combining recruiting, HR operations, payroll, and people development Hybrid setup based in Sofia A fast-moving team that experiments, learns, and builds How to Apply Send your CV and a short note about your recruiting and payroll/HR experience to [email protected] .
