About the Role Location: Remote Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt Schedule: Flexible, based on business needs Blue Rose Consulting Group is seeking a part-time HUBZone Compliance Specialist to support the company’s continued compliance with the SBA HUBZone Program . This position will serve as an internal HUBZone subject matter resource, helping Blue Rose evaluate current practices, strengthen compliance processes, maintain appropriate documentation, and proactively monitor requirements that could affect the company’s HUBZone eligibility. Job Responsibilities Review and support Blue Rose’s ongoing HUBZone compliance practices and documentation. Monitor requirements related to employee residency, principal office, and other applicable HUBZone eligibility criteria. Identify potential compliance gaps or risks and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Develop and maintain HUBZone compliance procedures, checklists, trackers, and supporting records. Establish recurring compliance reviews to help Blue Rose proactively monitor its HUBZone status. Support HUBZone certification, recertification, and related documentation requirements. Advise People Operations and leadership when workforce, location, or organizational changes may affect HUBZone compliance. Assist with SBA inquiries, compliance reviews, and audit readiness, as needed. Provide internal guidance and training on HUBZone requirements and established Blue Rose procedures. Help establish clear ownership, documentation standards, and escalation procedures for ongoing HUBZone compliance. Qualifications Demonstrated experience with the SBA HUBZone Program and its compliance requirements. Strong knowledge of HUBZone eligibility, employee residency, principal office, certification, and recertification requirements. Experience supporting a HUBZone-certified federal contractor or small business strongly preferred. Experience developing or maintaining compliance processes and supporting documentation. Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical internal processes. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle sensitive employee and company information appropriately. Position Objective The primary objective of this position is to help Blue Rose maintain a documented, repeatable, and sustainable HUBZone compliance program , including clear monitoring requirements, internal ownership, supporting documentation, and processes for identifying and addressing potential compliance issues before they place the company’s HUBZone status at risk.
