Crown Affair is looking for a highly organized, thoughtful, and proactive HR Generalist to support the day-to-day operations of our People & Culture function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being close to the employee experience and is excited to work across recruiting, onboarding, benefits, performance processes, employee support, and general People operations at a growing company.
You will work closely with the People & Culture Manager and partner with employees, managers, Finance, and external partners to help ensure that People processes are clear, consistent, and thoughtfully executed. This role will play an important part in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while helping build a strong and supportive employee experience.
What you will doRecruiting & Hiring Support
- Support recruiting coordination across open roles, including scheduling interviews, maintaining candidate pipelines, and ensuring a thoughtful candidate experience
- Partner with hiring managers to keep interview processes moving and ensure timely follow-up across candidates and internal stakeholders
- Support job posting creation, candidate communications, interview materials, and offer preparation
- Maintain accurate recruiting trackers, interview notes, and hiring documentation
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting workflows and create a more consistent and efficient hiring process
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Coordinate onboarding from offer acceptance through an employee’s first weeks, including documentation, scheduling, equipment coordination, and internal communication
- Ensure new hires receive a clear, welcoming, and organized onboarding experience
- Partner with managers to prepare onboarding plans and confirm that employees have the tools, information, and support needed to be successful
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including documentation, access removal, exit processes, and communication with relevant stakeholders
- Maintain accurate employee records and ensure all onboarding and offboarding requirements are completed on time
Benefits & Employee Support
- Support benefits administration and serve as a helpful first point of contact for employee questions
- Partner with Justworks and other external providers to help resolve benefits, leave, and employee account questions
- Support employees through life events and leave processes with care, discretion, and clear communication
- Help communicate benefits information, enrollment deadlines, and policy updates
- Escalate complex employee questions appropriately while ensuring timely follow-up and resolution
People Operations
- Support day-to-day People operations, including employee documentation, employment changes, letters, and record maintenance
- Maintain accurate employee information and ensure People documentation is organized and up to date
- Support the administration of company policies, programs, and People processes
- Help respond to employee and manager questions with consistency, discretion, and sound judgment
- Partner with Finance and external providers to ensure employee changes are communicated and processed accurately
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows, documentation, and internal People processes
Performance & Employee Experience
- Support the coordination and administration of performance review cycles, including timelines, forms, communications, and completion tracking
- Help managers and employees navigate review processes and ensure all materials are shared accurately and on time
- Support employee engagement initiatives, surveys, team programming, and company-wide People communications
- Assist with manager resources, employee documentation, and follow-up related to performance conversations
- Help maintain a consistent and thoughtful employee experience across the organization
Cross-Functional Support
- Partner closely with Finance, Operations, and company leadership to ensure People-related updates and processes are executed smoothly
- Support internal communications and company-wide People initiatives
- Assist with reporting, audits, compliance-related documentation, and special projects as needed
- Use AI and other tools thoughtfully to improve efficiency, organize information, and support high-quality People operations
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and sound judgment
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- 3–5 years of experience in Human Resources, People Operations, recruiting, or a related field
- Experience supporting recruiting coordination, onboarding, offboarding, benefits administration, and employee documentation
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy
- Comfort supporting employees and managers with professionalism, empathy, and discretion
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite; experience with Asana, Justworks, or similar platforms is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
- Proactive, resourceful, and eager to improve processes
- Interest in using AI tools to work more efficiently and thoughtfully

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $78,000-$85,000. Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. In addition, Crown Affair offers a variety of benefits to eligible team members, including health insurance coverage, paid leave programs, Unlimited PTO, paid holidays, and others.
