About the Role We are looking for someone to join our HR Department at LASNNY! The Human Resources Generalist & Recruitment Specialist supports the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on proactive recruitment and outreach , onboarding and offboarding, HR operations, training and travel coordination, and employee engagement. The successful candidate will be proactive, highly organized, approachable, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and providing excellent service to employees and candidates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Collaboration Engage with other members of the HR team and management team to carry out and build strong alignment around all aspects of the tasks below. Take responsibility for delivering results that are built by the Specialist's own work and that of colleagues. Recruitment & Hiring Proactively build diverse candidate pipelines through professional associations, affinity groups, community organizations, schools, social media, and other recruitment networks. Represent LASNNY at career fairs, networking events, and on-campus recruitment and outreach activities. Develop relationships with colleges, universities, law schools, and community and professional organizations. Identify new recruitment sources and post openings across targeted job boards and platforms. Screen applications, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and support a positive candidate experience. Prepare offer letters and maintain recruitment and hiring records. Onboarding & HR Operations Coordinate new hire onboarding, orientation, offboarding, and 90-day check-ins. Maintain accurate employee information and records across HR, benefits, payroll, timekeeping, and other systems. Coordinate new hire materials, announcements, systems access, and other onboarding needs. Prepare HR correspondence, reports, and employee documentation. Assist with payroll time-entry collection and other HR administrative functions. Training, Travel & Employee Engagement Coordinate registrations and logistics for employee trainings , conferences, and professional development. Arrange employee travel, including airfare, hotels, transportation, and related communications. Assist with staff events, wellness initiatives, employee appreciation activities, meetings, and trainings . Coordinate vendors, venues, materials, food, travel, and other event logistics . Support employee recognition, referral, benefits, and other HR programs. General HR Support Serve as an approachable and responsive resource for employees, candidates, managers, and leadership. Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion. Support an inclusive, equitable , and respectful workplace consistent with LASNNY's mission. Assist with HR projects, process improvements, and department coverage as needed. Qualifications 3-5 years p rior HR, recruiting, administrative, and/or even t/ travel coordination experience . Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills. Proactive approach to recruitment, outreach, and networking. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, judgment, and discretion with confidential information. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort learning HR and recruiting technology. Experience with HRIS systems, LinkedIn, Indeed , Microsoft Planner, or similar platforms preferred.
