About The Role

The Human Resource Manager at Rubicon will play a vital role in overseeing and managing HR operations across the U.S. workforce while providing strategic support for international and cross-border teams. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Human Resources, this position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of consistent HR policies, compliance with employment laws, and fostering a positive employee experience. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees, managing employee relations, performance management, and talent initiatives. This role requires a proactive approach to supporting organizational growth, including workforce planning, organizational change, and international expansion efforts. The position offers flexibility with remote or hybrid work arrangements within the USA, with some travel required for onsite meetings and functions. The HR Manager will also collaborate closely with external vendors, legal counsel, and HR partners to ensure compliance and operational excellence across all regions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • 5–8 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices
  • Experience supporting international or cross-border workforces
  • Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Familiarity with U.S. employment law; international labor practices preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish is highly preferred
  • Experience partnering with external counsel, PEOs, EORs, or staffing agencies for international operations
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and support all core HR functions including employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR operations
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Manage employee relations matters, including conducting investigations, coaching, corrective actions, and maintaining documentation
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. federal, state, and local employment laws, and coordinate with external partners to adhere to international labor requirements
  • Support talent acquisition initiatives including recruiting, sourcing, onboarding, employee development, engagement programs, and retention strategies
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning, organizational changes, and global expansion initiatives
  • Oversee HR processes related to leaves of absence, accommodations, and return-to-work programs
  • Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and external vendors to support cross-border HR administration
  • Maintain accurate HR records, support HR reporting, and ensure audit readiness across systems
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and practices that promote consistency, fairness, and equity
  • Support compensation and benefits administration, including year-end processes in collaboration with HR leadership
  • Work with internal stakeholders to continuously improve HR programs, training, and overall employee experience
  • Travel or work onsite as needed to support HR functions and organizational initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or apparent, supporting the overall HR strategy and organizational goals
