Role Description The IBM Sterling OMS role is a full-time remote position responsible for designing, configuring, and maintaining order management solutions based on IBM Sterling OMS. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing business requirements, implementing OMS workflows, managing integration with external systems, and ensuring data accuracy across the order lifecycle. The role involves troubleshooting system issues, optimizing performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as business analysts, developers, and QA to deliver reliable solutions. This position also requires preparing technical documentation, supporting deployments, and participating in code reviews and best-practice discussions. The role may include working with clients or internal stakeholders to refine processes and improve overall order management efficiency.
Qualifications

• Strong experience with IBM Sterling OMS, including configuration, customization, and support for order management processes.
• Hands-on background in enterprise application integration, such as APIs, web services, messaging, and data mapping between OMS and external systems.
• Solid understanding of e-commerce, supply chain, and fulfillment concepts (inventory, order orchestration, shipping, returns) and their implementation in OMS platforms.
• Proficiency in relevant programming or scripting languages and tools commonly used with IBM Sterling OMS (for example, Java or similar technologies), including debugging and performance tuning.
• Experience collaborating with business and technical stakeholders, translating requirements into technical solutions, and creating clear technical and functional documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality work within timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Familiarity with SDLC, agile methodologies, version control, and standard QA practices; prior experience in retail or logistics domains is an advantage.
