What will you actually do?

You will support quality assurance activities across technology projects while learning industry best practices and contributing to the delivery of reliable digital solutions. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will gain hands-on experience throughout the software testing lifecycle and help ensure applications meet business requirements and quality standards.

Core Responsibilities

• Support testing activities: execute manual testing activities for assigned projects under the guidance of senior team members, ensuring applications meet functional requirements and expected quality standards.
• QA standards & quality culture: follow KPMG and client QA standards, methodologies and best practices while contributing to a culture of quality across project teams.
• Test design & execution (functional & non-functional): prepare, execute and maintain test cases, test scenarios and testing documentation for functional, regression, smoke and integration testing. Gain exposure to non-functional testing practices where applicable.
• Business analysis & requirements mapping: work closely with business analysts, developers and QA colleagues to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into test scenarios and acceptance criteria.
• Defect management: identify, document, prioritize and retest software defects using approved tools, collaborating with development teams to verify fixes and ensure issues are resolved.
• Compliance, controls & documentation: follow established QA processes, documentation standards and project controls to ensure testing activities are properly documented and traceable.
• Test planning support: assist in preparing test plans, testing documentation and execution activities in accordance with project testing approaches and timelines.
• UAT preparation & support: support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, assisting business users during execution and documenting reported issues.
• Data validation & integration testing: perform basic data validation activities and support testing of APIs and system integrations where required.
• Cross-functional collaboration: collaborate with developers, business analysts, project managers and other team members to help deliver high-quality software solutions.

Additional Responsibilities

• Post-go-live support & continuous improvement: support post-go-live validation activities, monitor reported issues and contribute ideas for improving testing processes and documentation.
• Issue tracking & documentation: maintain accurate records of defects, test results and corrective actions using the team's testing and tracking tools.
• Project communication: participate in project meetings and communicate testing progress, issues and risks to the project team with guidance from experienced colleagues.
• Continuous learning: actively participate in knowledge-sharing sessions, training opportunities and continuous learning activities to develop your QA skills and technical expertise.

Experience & Background

• Up to 2 years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Assurance or a related technology role.
• Internships, university projects or personal projects related to software testing are considered an advantage.
• Basic understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum ways of working is a plus.

Functional expertise

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts, methodologies and best practices.
• Familiarity with functional, regression, smoke and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
• Interest in learning API testing, automation and modern QA practices.
• Basic understanding of defect management and software quality principles.

Tools & methods

Familiarity with some of the following tools or technologies is considered an advantage:

• Test management tools (e.g. Azure DevOps, TestRail, Zephyr, Xray)
• Defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA, Azure DevOps)
• API testing tools (e.g. Postman)
• Test automation tools (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, Playwright) – exposure is a plus, not a requirement
• Basic SQL knowledge for data validation
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education, certifications & languages

• Bachelor's degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or a related field.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification is a plus but not required.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
