We are seeking an experienced Identity Security Engineer to join a Cyber Engineering & Architecture team on a 12-month day-rate contract.

This is a hands-on engineering role responsible for strengthening the organisation's identity security posture through the implementation, governance, and continuous improvement of Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Privileged Access Management (PAM) capabilities.

Working closely with Cyber Security, Infrastructure, Application, and Technology teams, you will help design, implement, and support secure identity services, automate identity lifecycle processes, and ensure identity platforms are operating securely, efficiently, and in line with industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-on engineering across Active Directory and Entra ID
• Design and improve IAM/IGA lifecycle processes including Joiner/Mover/Leaver and access governance
• Hands-on experience with SailPoint for identity governance and access lifecycle management
• Support PAM implementation and privileged access controls
• Implement RBAC, least privilege, access reviews and identity security controls
• Monitor and improve the organisation’s overall identity security posture
• Work with Cyber, Technology and Application teams to implement secure-by-design identity solutions
• Support identity-related security incidents and remediation
• Automate and continuously improve IAM processes and controls

Key Requirements:

• 10+ years’ industry experience, with 5+ years in IAM/Identity Security
• Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory and/or Entra ID
• Strong hands-on experience with SailPoint / IGA
• Experience with PAM / privileged access management
• Strong understanding of RBAC, least privilege, Zero Trust and access governance
• Engineering-focused background with the ability to design, implement and troubleshoot identity solutions
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Identity & Security, CISSP, CISM, CIAM, CRISC, or equivalent.

This is not purely a governance role — we're looking for someone who is comfortable getting hands-on with the identity platforms, engineering controls and improving the environment technically.
