WHY PATIENTS NEED YOU Patient Solutions is an evolving and highly important area for the success of Pfizer Specialty Care. Due to the complexity of the patient journey in many Specialty Care therapeutic areas, up to 50% of specialty medications never get dispensed after an HCP writes the prescription. The role of Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement is to remove barriers to access through education and streamlined processes that accelerate fulfillment, helping appropriate patients get access to the medication their HCP has prescribed. WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE The I&I Access and Reimbursement Enablement Director will work across a broad, multi-disciplinary group of internal and external stakeholders to develop, evolve, and lead projects & programs to advance the I&I Access and Reimbursement group’s mission to accelerate fulfillment for appropriate patients. They will develop a process of continuous improvement measured by clearly defined key performance indicators that serve as benchmarks for success across the platform. The I&I Access and Reimbursement Enablement Director brings organizational excellence, project management expertise, and analytical rigor together with a deep understanding of Access and Reimbursement priorities and operations — driving seamless execution of operating plans and supporting their continuous evolution. This role advances I&I Access and Reimbursement by continuously improving key operational areas: infrastructure, engagement frameworks, project management, documentation, training, the operating model, analytics and reporting, digital and information platforms, third-party license agreements, resourcing, meeting planning, and budget management — the latter in partnership with the Patient Solutions Data and Financial Operations Manager. The I&I Access and Reimbursement Enablement Director reports to the Specialty Care Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team Lead. HOW YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT Work with Cross-functional Partners, I&I Access and Reimbursement Leadership, Marketing/Commercial Leads, Medical Leadership, Legal, Compliance, Patient Solutions Enablement and others to identify key themes and lead initiatives/projects needed to advance productivity, efficiency, and results. Identify and prioritize the right continuous improvement projects, processes, and resources, working with key stakeholders to advance productivity and support the strategy and execution of operating plans. Lead efforts to evolve I&I Access and Reimbursement workflows and SOPs as needed, aligned to current guardrails and approved ways of working. Partner cross-functionally to improve training, build capability plans, and help roll out those plans for I&I Access and Reimbursement teams and Regional Directors. Partner cross-functionally with key colleagues across functional areas (Patient Services, Digital, and others) to evolve, maintain, improve, and enhance I&I Access and Reimbursement digital platforms and capabilities, ensuring ongoing alignment, consistency, and efficiency. Partner cross-functionally with internal teams and, as needed, external stakeholders to deliver insights and execute initiatives that evolve the I&I Access and Reimbursement approach and drive results. Lead recurring readouts to leadership on I&I Access and Reimbursement execution, combining quantitative metrics and qualitative insights as part of Control Tower reporting. Cadence defined by leadership or as needed. Lead I&I Access Reimbursement in the following: territory alignments, training needs, quarterly business reviews, compliance updates and tracking. Work with I&I Access and Reimbursement Leadership, Legal, Compliance, and other key stakeholders to evolve the role, responsibilities, and remit of the team to better support patients Serve as primary point of contact with vendors, where appropriate, in collaboration with the Patient Solutions Data and Financial Operations Manager, supporting contracting, procurement, and delivery of key projects. In partnership with the Enablement team lead, contribute to or lead, where appropriate, CEP and DSU reporting and overall program requirements. Work across Patient Solutions Enablement, CEP, and other customer-facing teams to accelerate ways of working programs and key initiatives. Partner with Patient Engagement Enablement to continuously improve ways of working across I&I Access and Reimbursement and Patient Engagement, ensuring alignment with compliance requirements and approved guardrails. Pull through AI strategy in partnership with the SC Access and Reimbursement Enablement Team Lead and other cross-functional partners, helping build, stand up, and drive adoption of the strategy across the team. Contribute to key operational projects and initiatives across the broader Patient Solutions function. QUALIFICATIONS Must-Have Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of experience. 10+ years of pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical marketing/sales with extensive external healthcare market and advanced customer / health system knowledge. Previous experience in Access and Reimbursement, leadership, or operations/enablement, with a demonstrated track record of high performance or specialized technical skills gained through cross-functional leadership roles. Experience leading others in a matrix organization with the ability to manage without direct authority. Ability to influence key stakeholders internally and externally with proven executive communication skills and leadership qualities. Forward looking and results oriented with effective planning, prioritization, and organizational project skills. Strong and proven project management skills demonstrating the ability to deliver multiple time horizon focused projects simultaneously in the short-term and long-term. Track record of leading and managing complex programs to deliver improved outcomes. Strong strategic skills including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., shifting market environment) and the ability to balance short-term needs with long-term vision. Strong interpersonal skills are required, as well as excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills to address Leadership and external audiences. Proven experience in working with a compliance first mindset. Good judgement and high ethics are a must. Nice-to-Have M aster's degree with at least 7+ years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience, OR a MD with 4+ years of experience.
