The Senior Finance Implementation Consultant is responsible for leading the successful implementation of Klipboard business software solutions from a finance and accounting perspective. The role focuses on solution design, business process analysis, financial system configuration, data migration, customer training, testing, go-live support, and post-implementation consulting. The consultant acts as a trusted advisor to customers, ensuring finance best practices are applied while delivering solutions that meet business requirements, improve operational efficiency, and support strategic business objectives. In addition to project delivery responsibilities, the Senior Consultant provides mentorship to junior consultants, contributes to implementation methodologies, and supports continuous improvement initiatives within PSG. Key Responsibilities: Project Delivery Lead finance-focused implementation projects from initiation through to successful go-live. Facilitate project workshops and business discovery sessions to gather and document customer requirements. Analyse existing financial processes and recommend system-driven improvements. Design and configure finance solutions aligned with customer business requirements. Manage project deliverables in accordance with PSG implementation methodologies. Support project governance activities, project reporting, risk identification, and issue resolution. Ensure implementation activities are completed within agreed timelines, scope, and quality standards. Business Analysis and Solution Design Conduct detailed business process reviews across finance functions. Map customer requirements to standard product functionality. Design financial structures, including: Legal entities Companies and branches General ledger structures Financial dimensions Reporting hierarchies Recommend best practice solutions while balancing customer requirements and product capabilities. Produce functional specifications where custom development is required. Financial System Configuration Configure and validate finance modules, including: General Ledger Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable Cashbook and Bank Reconciliation Fixed Assets Budgeting Financial Reporting Multi-company environments Tax and statutory configurations Workflow and approval processes Data Migration and Validation Define customer data migration requirements. Review, validate and cleanse migration data. Assist customers with data preparation and conversion activities. Validate imported data and perform reconciliation exercises. Ensure opening balances, outstanding transactions and historical data reconcile accurately. Support cutover planning and execution activities. Training and Change Management Prepare training materials and workshop content. Deliver end-user and administrator training. Support customer adoption through structured knowledge transfer. Assist customers with change management activities and process transitions. Ensure users are confident and capable of operating the solution post go-live. Testing and Quality Assurance Develop and execute finance testing scenarios. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Investigate and resolve testing defects. Validate finance processes, reports, workflows and integrations. Ensure customer sign-off criteria are met before deployment. Go-Live and Hypercare Support Lead finance-related go-live activities. Provide onsite or remote support during implementation cutover. Assist customers through initial period-end processes. Resolve critical issues during hypercare. Support smooth transition to the support function following project completion. Customer Relationship Management Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders. Act as the primary finance subject matter expert on assigned projects. Manage customer expectations throughout project delivery. Provide professional consulting advice based on industry best practices. Identify opportunities for solution enhancement and additional services. Skills, Knowledge and Experience: Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in: Accounting Financial Management Management Accounting Commerce Information Systems Related discipline Experience Requirements Essential 7+ years’ experience in finance and accounting. Strong finance and accounting background. Experience leading ERP or business software implementations. Experience facilitating business workshops and customer engagements. Experience with data migration, testing, and go-live support. Strong understanding of: Financial Accounting principles Management reporting Month-end processes Reconciliations Budgeting and forecasting Advantageous ERP implementation experience within distribution, manufacturing, retail, construction, wholesale, or services industries. Experience with project management methodologies. Experience leading ERP or business software implementations.
