p>A Milanese financial technology firm is currently undergoing a significant commercial shift, and we are responsible for ensuring their growth plans are grounded in financial reality. As an Implementation Coordinator, you will help track the execution of these plans while identifying where theory meets real world resistance. About Blue Oak Consulting Blue Oak Consulting provides independent advisory on pricing, portfolio economics, capital allocation, and acquisition assumptions. We are not a traditional consulting firm focused on broad transformation programs or high level strategy decks. Instead, we interrogate specific commercial decisions where the financial stakes are high and the existing narrative is not sufficient. Our team looks past corporate language and P&L complexity to identify where value is leaking or capital is trapped. We work across sectors like software, manufacturing, and healthcare to test whether the assumptions behind a growth plan or an acquisition actually hold under pressure. We are a small, principal led firm where the people who do the work are the ones accountable for the results. We do not take transaction contingent fees, which allows us to be completely honest about whether the economics of a decision make sense. Our goal is to provide clarity through financial discipline and a healthy amount of skepticism. We stay through the execution phase because decisions that look sound in theory often fail when they meet real world friction.
The Role This is a full time, permanent position that is fully remote. You will work directly with our firm principals to support a client engagement involving a Milanese financial technology firm. Your primary objective is to keep project tasks organized and to monitor whether the financial improvements we projected are actually materializing. Because we are a small firm, you will not be buried in a massive hierarchy. You will be expected to think critically about the data you handle rather than just moving rows around a spreadsheet. This role requires a high degree of organization and the ability to work independently without constant oversight.
What You Will Be Doing
Maintaining the central task registry and ensuring all internal and client deadlines are tracked accurately.
Comparing weekly performance metrics from the fintech client against our original financial models to spot deviations.
Collecting and cleaning raw financial data to prepare it for analysis by senior advisors.
Drafting clear, concise summaries of project progress that focus on facts and figures rather than corporate filler.
Attending remote meetings to document decisions, action items, and shifts in project logic.
Reviewing technical implementation logs to ensure they align with the agreed upon commercial strategy.
Assisting in the identification of trapped capital or unnecessary costs within the client operational structure.
Researching industry benchmarks to help validate the pricing and acquisition assumptions being tested.
Organizing project documentation so that every financial decision can be traced back to its original data source.
What You Bring
A degree in Finance, Economics, or a related business field that provided a foundation in reading financial statements.
A high level of comfort with Excel, including the ability to organize large sets of information and use formulas to check for errors.
A skeptical mindset that naturally asks why a number is what it is rather than accepting it at face value.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a focus on being direct and clear.
The discipline to manage your own schedule and tasks effectively in a fully remote environment.
An interest in project coordination and the mechanics of how commercial decisions are put into practice.
Attention to detail that allows you to spot small errors in data or inconsistencies in documentation.
A preference for working in small, flat teams where you have more individual responsibility.
What We Offer
A permanent contract with a fully remote work model that respects your time and autonomy.
The opportunity to learn directly from experienced principals who are hands-on with every project.
Competitive pay for an entry level position that reflects the discipline and quality we expect.
Direct exposure to complex financial problems and high stakes decision making across various sectors.
A work culture that values honesty, skepticism, and clear results over internal politics.
Practical training in how to analyze business economics without the filter of traditional consulting jargon.
At Blue Oak Consulting, we believe that the most successful implementations are those that survive constant questioning. We do not produce strategy for the sake of it, and we do not shy away from telling a client when their plans do not add up. If you are someone who prefers looking at the underlying numbers and helping to bring order to complex projects, you will find our approach refreshing. We value people who are more interested in the logic of a business case than in the language used to sell it. Working here means staying focused on the facts and ensuring that commercial decisions actually lead to the financial results intended.
