The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for managing trade compliance elements of import operations for the respective regions and jurisdictions. How you will help us connect the world: Perform and provide key services including HTS classification, duty drawback, data reconciliations, compliance assessment, duty recovery and minimization, and trade compliance audits for imports into the United States and Canada. Classify components, parts and finished goods for imports into Canada and the United States using the CAHTS, USHTS, GRI’s, rulings, and product specifications. Support for classification to be maintained via department record keeping procedures. Provide daily support to customer service, sales, purchasing, manufacturing, and product line management teams to ensure compliance with regulations. Monitor government interactions and submissions for accuracy and timeliness, maintain details and records for reporting to management. Provide coverage and assistance to other team members during time off or as needed. Could include, but not limited to, Audits, Recordkeeping, Broker Requests, Classification, etc. Develop and/or maintain desk level procedures for your position/function within the Trade Compliance organization. Maintain current knowledge of international import compliance regulations through official publications and formal trainings. Continuously evaluate import activities to develop and implement better compliance practices. Qualifications: Associate’s degree and minimum one-year experience in technical, business, or international trade compliance. Must be able to perform variety of tasks with minimal direction. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with high attention to detail. You will excite us if you have: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Trade Compliance, or similar. Preferentially one to three years of experience in related areas. Import/Export Compliance trainings and certifications. Self-Starter, proactive, with attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbal and written form. General knowledge of Harmonized Tariff System Classification. Knowledge of MS Office especially MS Excel, (Oracle & SAP preferred).
