Role Description The Independent Agriculture Representative is a full-time remote role responsible for promoting Crop Urbanis services and solutions to potential and existing clients in the indoor farming and controlled-environment agriculture sectors. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and qualifying new leads, conducting outreach to agritech startups, growers, investors, and NGOs, and presenting consultancy offerings such as feasibility studies, farm design, and training programs. The role involves maintaining relationships with clients, gathering feedback on their needs, and coordinating with agronomy and consulting teams to tailor proposals and service packages. The Representative will prepare sales materials and reports, participate in virtual meetings and industry events, and stay current on market trends, technology developments, and regulatory changes affecting indoor agriculture. This position requires a high level of autonomy, proactive communication, and disciplined remote work practices.
Qualifications

• Knowledge of agriculture, agronomy, or horticulture, ideally with exposure to controlled-environment agriculture, vertical farming, or greenhouse operations.
• Experience in client outreach, business development, or sales within agriculture, food systems, or related technical services.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts in clear, accessible language.
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders such as startups, NGOs, investors, and commercial operators.
• Comfort working independently in a remote setting, with strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and reliable time management.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to understand market trends, interpret basic data, and support the preparation of proposals and reports.
• Proficiency with common digital tools (e.g., email, video conferencing, CRM or contact management software, office productivity tools).
• Prior experience in consulting, technical sales, or project coordination is beneficial, as is multilingual ability, particularly in English and French.
• Relevant education in agriculture, environmental science, business, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
