The ILI Housing Coordinator is responsible for the management and approval of Alliance's financial assistance through the use of the ILI (Independent Living Initiative) Program that includes eviction prevention, rental assistance, security deposits, and utility payments. This position works closely with Care Management and providers to assist individuals and/or families who are currently homeless, at-risk of homelessness or faced with an eviction, and provide community and housing resources. Customer service to internal staff as well as to members, providers, landlords, and community stakeholders are paramount to ensure the credibility of the housing assistance and accurate payments. This position will allow the successful candidate the ability to work remotely. The employee may also be required to come onsite to the home office for meetings with community stakeholders and/or travel within the communities Alliance serves as needed. Responsibilities & Duties Financial Management Provide fiscal management of the ILI Funds per county allocation Review and assess ILI Applications to determine the need and level of financial assistance Submit monthly reports to track the number of applications approved and denied, ILI Trainings and technical assistance, and current and projected amounts of ILI Funds approved Adhere to all policies and protocols regarding the approval and distribution of ILI Funds Training and Technical Assistance Provide monthly education and training to providers Provide technical assistance to providers regarding ILI Applications and other community and housing resources Educate and/or coordinate with community partners regarding housing resources and services Customer Service Respond to all voicemail messages, emails, and correspondence within 1 business day (or 24 hours) Promptly follow-up with all referrals, inquiries, and emails from internal staff. As needed, respond to all emergency situations with high level of urgency Landlord Engagement Assist in the coordination and planning for landlord engagement and recruitment events and/or programs Promote fair housing and tenant’s rights Coordinate the fair housing training for service providers, housing providers, and community stakeholders Follow-up with landlords via email, phone calls, and correspondence in a timely manner regarding rent payments, deposits, and promissory letters Work with the Accounts Payable/Finance Department to resolve payments to landlords and/or property management Ensure landlord compliance with Fair Housing laws and promptly report any violations Community Engagement Attend, participate, and engage in CoC (Continuum of Care) and/or Balance of State meetings across the catchment area to advocate for affordable housing, support services, and fair housing for member served by Alliance Health Affordable and Supportive Housing Collect, analyze, and disseminate information regarding demographic housing assistance, payments, return on investments and other key performance indicators related to housing efforts Provide data to be utilized in the development of reports to federal and state agencies, other divisions, and executive and senior management Develop in-depth knowledge of various housing and financial systems and provide consultation to Alliance clinical departments regarding available resources and barriers for individuals who are involved with various community public systems Travel Travel between Alliance offices, attend meetings on behalf of Alliance, participate in Alliance Health sponsored events, etc. (may be required) Travel to meet with members, providers, stakeholders, attend court hearings etc. is required Minimum Requirements Education & Experience Required : Three (3) years of progressive experience in the field of Human Services, Community Development, or Affordable Housing. At least two (2) years of experience related to a combination of administering housing programs, outreach to homeless individuals or providing behavioral health services to homeless individuals with mental illness or substance-use disorder. Preferred : Preferred knowledge of affordable housing, systems of care, or permanent supportive housing programs as it relates to individuals with disabilities. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Thorough knowledge of housing resources, laws and policies as it relates to individuals with disabilities Exceptional interpersonal skills, highly effective communication ability, and the propensity to make prompt independent decisions based upon relevant facts Problem solving and conflict resolution skills are essential Knowledge of behavioral health and intellectual/developmental disabilities Knowledge of the primary purpose and functions of community Proficient in rules and regulations regarding state and federal housing programs Salary Range $26.27 - $33.49/Hourly Exact compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, experience, external market data and consideration of internal equity.
