What you'll do Build payout services and partner integrations (REST and SOAP) in TypeScript and Java. Develop customer-facing and internal experiences in React and React Native, with XState for complex state. Work across the stack - Spring, NestJS, tRPC, WebSphere on the backend; Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase for persistence. Implement idempotency, retries, error handling, and reconciliation as first-class concerns, not afterthoughts. Write production-grade SQL for transactional work, reconciliation, and performance-sensitive operations. Own quality through testing - Jest, Vitest, JUnit, Expo workflows. Instrument what you build - Instana, Coralogix, Sentry, PostHog. Who you are You take pride in code that holds up: readable, tested, observable. You care about how systems behave in production, not just whether tests pass locally. You ask "why" before "how" and push back when requirements don't make sense. Technical skills 4+ years of professional full-stack development experience, ideally with exposure to payments, financial systems, or other correctness-sensitive domains. Strong in both TypeScript and Java, comfortable shipping in either, not just one. Hands-on with at least one modern backend framework (Spring, NestJS, or tRPC); WebSphere familiarity is a plus. Solid React and React Native experience, including state management. Strong SQL across relational databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL); Couchbase or other document stores a plus. Practical understanding of REST and SOAP APIs, HTTP/S, TLS, idempotency, retries, error handling, versioning. Comfort with JSON, XML, XSD, WSDL, XSLT. Testing discipline, you write tests as part of the work. Comfortable with CI/CD, we use GitLab. Nice to have Payments, remittance, or other regulated financial domain experience. Experience working on systems that integrate with external partners under SLA.
