Role Description: The Indonesia Country Manager is a remote, contract role responsible for growing Bold Himalaya’s presence and customer base in Indonesia. This role oversees market entry and expansion, including identifying partnership opportunities, managing local travel agents and affiliates, and developing promotional campaigns tailored to Indonesian travelers. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market research, coordinating online and offline marketing initiatives, managing local customer inquiries, and ensuring that Bold Himalaya’s services and itineraries align with local preferences and regulations. The Country Manager will collaborate with the central Bold Himalaya team on pricing, product localization, and operational coordination, while monitoring performance metrics and reporting on market trends and business results.

Qualifications

• Market development and business growth skills, including experience in country or regional management, partnership development, and sales or business development.
• Marketing and communication skills, such as digital marketing, social media promotion, content creation, and strong written and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
• Customer-focused skills, including client relationship management, problem-solving, and the ability to provide responsive, personalized support to travelers.
• Operational and organizational skills, such as coordinating with internal teams, managing multiple projects, and ensuring compliance with local travel and tourism regulations.
• Professional experience in travel, tourism, or adventure-based services in Indonesia, with strong knowledge of local traveler preferences and regional destinations.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment, make data-informed decisions, and meet agreed targets and timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Tourism, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Commitment to sustainable and ethical tourism practices, with an interest in adventure travel and the Himalayan region.
