The Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance strategy, asset reliability, preventive and predictive maintenance, equipment performance, maintenance planning, technical troubleshooting, spare-parts management, maintenance systems, and continuous improvement across industrial and manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will ensure critical machinery, production equipment, utilities, automation systems, and industrial infrastructure operate safely, reliably, efficiently, and cost-effectively while minimizing unplanned downtime and extending asset lifecycle.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance Strategy
- Develop and implement a comprehensive industrial-maintenance strategy aligned with production, safety, quality, reliability, and financial objectives.
- Establish maintenance standards, policies, procedures, governance, and performance expectations.
- Develop short-, medium-, and long-term maintenance plans.
- Balance preventive, predictive, corrective, condition-based, and reliability-centered maintenance activities.
- Establish asset-criticality-based maintenance strategies.
Asset Management
- Develop and maintain comprehensive industrial asset-management practices.

- Reduce avoidable equipment failures.
- Continuously review preventive-maintenance effectiveness.
Predictive Maintenance
- Develop predictive-maintenance programs using:
- Vibration Analysis

- Condition Monitoring

- Identify developing failures before they cause production interruptions.
Condition-Based Maintenance
- Implement condition-based maintenance for critical equipment.
- Establish appropriate condition indicators, alarm limits, inspection frequencies, and escalation procedures.
- Shift maintenance from time-based intervention toward evidence-based decisions where appropriate.
Reliability-Centered Maintenance
- Apply Reliability-Centered Maintenance principles to critical assets.
- Analyze failure modes and consequences.
- Develop maintenance strategies based on actual risk and equipment function.
Corrective Maintenance
- Manage corrective-maintenance activities efficiently.
- Prioritize work based on operational criticality.
- Ensure temporary repairs are followed by permanent corrective actions where required.
Breakdown Management
- Establish rapid-response processes for equipment breakdowns.
- Coordinate maintenance, engineering, production, automation, and vendor resources.
- Minimize production recovery time.
Emergency Maintenance
- Establish procedures for urgent maintenance situations.
- Maintain appropriate on-call and escalation arrangements for critical assets.
- Ensure emergency interventions remain safe and controlled.
Downtime Reduction
- Analyze equipment-related downtime.
- Identify recurring causes of production interruptions.
- Develop and track corrective-action programs.
- Target chronic losses and bottleneck assets.
Reliability Engineering
- Develop reliability-improvement programs for critical industrial assets.
- Monitor failure patterns and equipment performance.
- Identify systemic causes of recurring failures.
- Improve Mean Time Between Failures and Mean Time To Repair.
Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate should have experience in Industrial Maintenance, Plant Maintenance, Maintenance Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Asset Management, Manufacturing Maintenance, or related fields.
The candidate should demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing industrial or manufacturing maintenance operations.
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, automation, and industrial equipment maintenance.
- Extensive experience developing preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs.
- Strong knowledge of reliability engineering, asset criticality, failure analysis, RCA, FMEA, and RCM principles.
- Experience managing CMMS platforms and maintenance-data processes.
- Strong understanding of maintenance planning, scheduling, work management, backlog control, and maintenance productivity.
- Experience managing critical production equipment, utilities, infrastructure, and industrial assets.
- Experience with vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis, ultrasound, condition monitoring, or other predictive-maintenance technologies.
- Experience managing maintenance contractors, OEMs, technical suppliers, service agreements, and warranties.
- Strong experience managing maintenance budgets, spare parts, CAPEX, OPEX, and total cost of ownership.
- Experience with equipment replacement, modernization, obsolescence management, and lifecycle planning.
- Strong understanding of industrial safety, energy isolation, permit-to-work, machine safety, and contractor management.
- Experience supporting TPM, Lean Maintenance, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or operational-excellence programs.
- Experience implementing digital maintenance, Industrial IoT, predictive analytics, AI, or connected-asset technologies is advantageous.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, technical, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience leading maintenance teams and developing technical talent.
- Experience supporting factory expansion, new equipment installation, commissioning, production ramp-up, or new-factory development is advantageous.
- Knowledge of UAE and GCC industrial, manufacturing, safety, and regulatory environments is advantageous.
- Relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Professional certifications in maintenance, reliability, asset management, Lean Six Sigma, safety, project management, or related disciplines are advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; additional languages are advantageous.
- Excellent leadership, planning, technical, analytical, project-management, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to balance reliability, safety, production requirements, maintenance cost, and asset lifecycle considerations.
- Ability to manage complex technical problems, critical equipment failures, vendors, budgets, and competing priorities.
