Is this job info correct?

Power to Decide is a national nonprofit, nonpartisan organization. At Power to Decide, we envision a world where everyone—no matter who they are or where they live—has control over their bodies and can decide if, when, and under what circumstances to get pregnant and have a child. Our mission is to advance sexual and reproductive well-being for all. We accomplish this by providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and catalyzing culture change. To support a fair and organized hiring process, we encourage candidates to submit all applications and hiring-related communication through our official application system. Position Reporting to the Senior Manager of Social Media and Campaigns, the Influencer & Community Engagement Fellow supports audience engagement, online community building, creator collaboration, social listening, and content creation across Bedsider and AbortionFinder platforms. This full-time, one-year fellowship helps foster meaningful connections with digital audiences, identify emerging trends and community needs, support creator partnerships, and contribute to audience-centered content that advances sexual and reproductive well-being for all. What You'll Do You'll help build relationships with audiences through both account management and content creation. You'll engage with communities across social platforms, identify cultural moments and emerging conversations, support creator collaborations, and occasionally create content yourself. In this role, you'll collaborate across teams to strengthen audience engagement, elevate community voices, and help create social-first content that resonates with young people. What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is passionate about sexual and reproductive health and excited about the power of digital communities to inform, connect, and inspire people. You are highly online, naturally curious, and energized by connecting with people and communities. You understand internet culture, creator culture, and how audiences communicate across platforms. You enjoy identifying trends, participating in conversations, and helping brands show up authentically online. You are comfortable engaging with audiences, building relationships, and occasionally appearing on camera to support content creation. Whether through personal projects, school, freelance work, volunteer experiences, or social media experience, you've demonstrated an ability to create, connect, and communicate in digital spaces. You are empathetic, culturally aware, collaborative, and excited to help advance sexual and reproductive well-being through community engagement and storytelling. You are comfortable and confident talking about sexual health and abortion care. This fellowship is designed for someone interested in building a career in social media, community engagement, creator partnerships, digital communications, marketing, or audience development. Key Responsibilities Community Engagement & Moderation Monitor and engage with audiences across social media platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, X/Threads, and emerging channels. Respond to comments, direct messages, and community interactions in alignment with brand voice and engagement guidelines. Escalate sensitive questions, misinformation, safety concerns, or crisis situations according to established protocols. Support moderation efforts to help maintain safe, inclusive, and welcoming digital spaces. Identify opportunities for meaningful audience engagement and conversation across trending sounds, formats, and topics. Social Listening & Audience Insights Monitor conversations, trends, cultural moments, and audience sentiment relevant to sexual and reproductive health. Draft replies to comments and questions and identify key staff members for review and approval. Track recurring questions, concerns, feedback, and content opportunities from community interactions. Assist in gathering audience insights that inform content, campaigns, and organizational strategy. Maintain social listening reports, community engagement summaries, and audience trend tracking. Translate audience feedback into actionable recommendations for content and engagement opportunities. Community-Centered Content & Creator Support Partner with social, content, and creative teams to identify audience questions, trends, and content opportunities. Source user-generated content, community stories, testimonials, and audience perspectives that can inform content development. Identify creators, influencers, and community voices who may be potential collaborators, contributors, or ambassadors. Support creator outreach, relationship management, and content coordination as needed. Participate in content ideation and help ensure content reflects audience needs, interests, and lived experiences. Serve as an internal advocate for audience perspectives by sharing community feedback and insights across teams. On-Camera Content Participation Serve as an occasional on-camera representative for Bedsider, AbortionFinder, and Power to Decide content. Support content creation by filming simple videos, capturing social content, and participating in audience-centered storytelling initiatives. Cross-Functional Collaboration Participate in brainstorms, campaign development, and content planning discussions. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure audience feedback informs organizational priorities. Support audience-centered and culturally responsive storytelling initiatives. Qualifications The successful candidate will have/be: 1–3 years of experience in social media, community management, and content creation Interest in reproductive health, social impact communications, digital advocacy, or community engagement preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required), with demonstrated experience creating accessible, culturally relevant content and engaging with community members in both languages. Strong understanding of social media platforms, internet culture, creator culture, and online communities. Excellent written communication skills and ability to adapt tone for different audiences and platforms. Demonstrated ability to build relationships and engage thoughtfully with online audiences.
