Job Description – Finance Business Analyst (Contract-6Month-Can be extend more) Position Finance Business Analyst (Contract) Employment Type Contract (3–6 Months, with possible extension) Location Remote (India) Shift UK Shift About the Role We are looking for an experienced Finance Business Analyst with a strong background in finance transformation, business process analysis, and process optimization. This role requires someone who can work closely with Finance, Data, and Technology teams to analyze, redesign, and improve finance processes before downstream data and reporting transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess deep functional finance knowledge, excellent stakeholder management skills, and experience driving finance transformation projects within enterprise environments. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with Finance Leadership, Financial Controllers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand existing finance processes and identify improvement opportunities. Conduct end-to-end analysis of finance processes and design future-state workflows aligned with business objectives. Drive finance process optimization and transformation initiatives across core finance functions. Analyze and document current ("As-Is") and future ("To-Be") finance processes. Gather, document, and validate business requirements from finance stakeholders. Facilitate workshops and discussions with finance and business teams to define process improvements. Work closely with Data and Technology teams to prepare finance processes for integration into modern data platforms, including Data Lakes and Databricks environments. Support finance data standardization initiatives to enable improved reporting, analytics, and governance. Ensure finance processes support accurate financial reporting, reconciliation, and regulatory compliance. Identify process gaps, risks, and opportunities for automation and operational efficiency. Prepare functional documentation, process flows, business requirements, and solution recommendations. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and business validation activities where required. Required Skills & Experience 7+ years of experience as a Finance Business Analyst or in a similar finance transformation role. Strong understanding of finance operations, accounting principles, and finance business processes. Hands-on experience with finance transformation, finance process improvement, or business process redesign initiatives. Strong knowledge of: Invoice-to-Pay (I2P) Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Record-to-Report (R2R) General Ledger (GL) Financial Close Reconciliations Financial Reporting Experience working closely with Finance Controllers, Finance Leadership, CFO teams, or Shared Services organizations. Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process mapping, documentation, and stakeholder management. Experience preparing As-Is and To-Be process documentation. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced transformation environment. Preferred Skills Experience with Access Dimensions accounting platform. Experience supporting ERP finance transformation initiatives. Exposure to finance data integration, reporting modernization, or data warehouse projects. Familiarity with modern analytics platforms such as Databricks or Data Lake environments. Experience working within Global Capability Centers (GCC), Shared Services, or multinational organizations.
