Job Title: Information Scientist III Job Description The Information Scientist III role focuses on providing complex, high-quality medical information across assigned therapeutic areas, with a particular emphasis on supporting European medical information activities from a US-based hybrid work location. This position develops, maintains, and applies deep product and disease state expertise to respond to escalated medical information inquiries, and manages global and region-specific medical and technical content used by internal and external stakeholders. The role requires strong clinical knowledge, medical writing capabilities, and the ability to interpret and communicate complex data to diverse audiences in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Provide complex, accurate medical information for assigned therapeutic areas by developing, maintaining, and applying product and disease state subject matter expertise. Respond to medical information inquiries escalated from affiliate teams and medical information call center staff, ensuring timely, clear, and medically sound responses. Manage the development, approval, and maintenance of global and region-specific medical and technical content documents used to support product inquiries from internal customers and external audiences including healthcare professionals and consumers. Develop and update global content in accordance with established policies, practice standards, and regulatory requirements, ensuring content conveys a clear and appropriate medical message. Summarize scientific literature and clinical guidelines and assist in the development and approval of Data on File documents, maintaining high standards of accuracy and medical integrity. Review and approve medical content, including complex and sensitive information, ensuring compliance with regulatory, legal, and corporate standards. Evaluate data and maintain an in-depth understanding of product knowledge, associated disease states, treatment guidelines, labeling, and relevant internal data for the assigned therapeutic areas. Partner with internal colleagues to create relevant core content that meets the needs of healthcare professionals, affiliates, and other stakeholders. Contribute to innovative solutions for delivering medical information to customers, exploring unique and effective formats and channels. Critically evaluate scientific literature, interpret complex clinical and statistical data, and adapt the delivery of information to suit a variety of audiences and levels of expertise. Identify and analyze global medical information insights based on patterns and trends in medical information inquiries, and share findings with relevant stakeholders. Coordinate and lead multidisciplinary and cross-functional meetings related to medical information content, processes, and initiatives. Apply strong clinical understanding of disease states and treatment implications to the development and review of medical information materials. Support European global medical information colleagues and collaborate closely with outsourced medical information vendors in Europe, with potential expansion of responsibilities based on business needs. Manage a high volume of medical inquiries efficiently while maintaining quality and adherence to timelines in a fast-paced environment. Essential Skills 1–2 years of experience in a Medical Information role. Healthcare provider background required, such as Pharmacist, Nurse, MD, DO, PA, or PharmD, with pharmacy experience particularly valued. Strong clinical knowledge and the ability to evaluate, communicate, and develop medical information content for diverse audiences. Experience writing and communicating medical information to various stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and internal teams. Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to multitask while consistently delivering high-quality work. Mastery in using computer systems, databases, and software applications, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint). Knowledge of medical information inquiry repositories such as Veeva Vault and Salesforce, or the ability to learn these systems quickly. Ability to coordinate and lead multidisciplinary and cross-functional meetings, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Excellent oral and written English communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely. Strong medical writing skills and comfort working in a fast-paced environment. Solid clinical understanding of disease states and treatment implications, including strong knowledge of clinical trial methodology and statistical concepts. Ability to independently evaluate and interpret complex scientific literature and translate findings into clear medical information content. Understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the pharmaceutical industry or the ability to develop this knowledge. Demonstrated teamwork, collaboration skills, and cultural sensitivity in international or cross-functional settings. Ability to adhere to a hybrid work schedule, working in the office Tuesday through Thursday. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and graduation from an accredited Nursing, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, PhD in Health Sciences, or MD/DO program. Advanced degree such as a Master’s, PharmD, PhD, or other relevant postgraduate qualification is preferred. Candidates with a Master’s degree may be considered if they also have healthcare provider experience. Maintains expert understanding of product knowledge, labeling, and relevant data, with the ability to apply knowledge across multiple therapeutic areas. Preferred experience supporting immunology products and related therapeutic areas. Experience managing a high volume of medical inquiries in a structured medical information environment. Strong English communication skills, with additional European language proficiency—particularly French—considered an asset. Familiarity with global medical information processes and collaboration with international teams and vendors. Demonstrated ability to identify medical information insights and contribute to continuous improvement of content and processes. Work Environment This position is based in the United States in a hybrid office arrangement, with in-office work required Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on other days, subject to business needs. The primary work site locations may include US office settings such as Florham Park or Irvine. The role involves frequent virtual collaboration with European global medical information colleagues and outsourced medical information vendors, requiring comfort with digital communication tools and international teamwork. Work is performed in a professional office environment using standard computer systems, databases, and software applications, including Microsoft Office, Veeva Vault, and Salesforce. The position operates in a fast-paced setting with a high volume of medical inquiries and requires consistent attention to detail, adherence to regulatory and corporate standards, and effective time management. The assignment duration is anticipated to be approximately six months, with responsibilities potentially expanding based on evolving business needs.
