Information Security Engineer

Description Information Security Engineer Hiring Range $120,910.40 to $165,228.27 Summary of Job Responsibilities: The Southcentral Foundation (SCF) Information Security Engineer is responsible for consulting with server, network, and application development teams to ensure that new and existing technical solutions are implemented in a manner consistent with SCF’s Information Security Management Program (ISMP) practices and standards that preserve the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of SCF systems and data. The Security Engineer is responsible for technical security operations of servers, workstations, networks, web applications, IT processes. Minimum Qualifications: SCF programs are established to serve a primary population comprised of Alaska Native people who are affiliated with Cook Inlet Region, Inc. (CIRI) and Alaska Native and American Indian people within SCF’s geographical service area. Employees should have a thorough understanding of the cultures and the needs of this population. Such knowledge is critical to ensure the achievement of SCF’s vision of a Native Community that enjoys physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness, and mission of working together with the Native Community to achieve wellness through health and related services: Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience Three (3) years of experience in IT Security engineering or security operations. Certified in one of the following: CISSP, SSCP, CEH, GIAC-GSE or can obtain within 12 months of hire. Native Preference: Under P.L. 93-638, as amended, the company pursues a policy of Native preference in hiring, contracting, and training. SCF Human Resources must receive certification before applicants receive preference. Employee Health Requirements: Compliance with our Employee Health Procedure is a condition of SCF employment. Jobs designated as a Health Care Personnel (HCP) position, requires that you have documentation that you have completed the following immunizations prior to your first day of employment: MMR (Measles, Mumps and Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap (Tetanus - Diphtheria - Pertussis), and COVID-19 vaccination is required.
