This position offers the chance to apply and grow your technical skills while collaborating closely with expert GRC, operations, and architecture teams. You will build deep mastery in STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and PAM security—while developing a powerful technical toolkit using STIGviewer, SCAP, Tenable, and CyberArk. With dedicated mentorship and exposure to complex engineering challenges, this role provides a strong pathway toward senior security engineering positions. Responsibilities: Implement and document STIG configurations across assigned systems and platforms Conduct Security Impact Analyses (SIAs) for proposed changes Run automated configuration validation using SCAP Compliance Checker Manage vulnerability tracking and remediation workflows within Tenable SC Evaluate cloud infrastructure security posture using Tenable Cloud Security Support CyberArk PAM setup and privileged access management Create and maintain secure configuration baselines Write detailed technical security control implementation guides Partner with the Cybersecurity Architect on technical security implementations Qualifications: Required: Active Secret or TS clearance 3–5 years of security engineering or system‑hardening experience Hands‑on experience with STIGviewer and SCAP Compliance Checker Working experience with Tenable SC or similar vulnerability management platforms Strong knowledge of secure configuration management principles DoD 8140.03M DCWF Basic Tier: CEH DoD 8140 Interim Education Options Desired: Experience administering CyberArk PAM Familiarity with Tenable Cloud Security or comparable cloud assessment tooling Exposure to DoD cloud environments (IL2–IL6) DoD 8140.03M DCWF Intermediate Tier—one of the following: CEH(P), RCCE Level 1, Cloud+, CPTE, FITSP‑A, GCED, GCIH, GCSA, GICSP, GSEC, PenTest+, or Security+ Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or Software Engineering - What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
