HOOPP Infrastructure (“HI”), the Infrastructure arm within Private Markets, was established in mid-2019 to support HOOPP’s strategic plan, strengthen diversification, and generate strong risk-adjusted returns. Actively investing across various geographic markets (e.g. North America, Europe, Australia) and across the capital structure (e.g. common equity, structured equity, credit), HI focuses on delivering long-term stability and resilience to the Total Fund through direct investments, co-investments, and fund investments. Currently, HI manages over $7 billion in net asset value. What you will do: In this role, you will work closely with HI team members to meaningfully contribute to a broad scope of investment activities and operational strategic initiatives. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Review public, private, industry, economic and market information to share insights related to business models, sector dynamics, and investment theses across Infrastructure and the broader portfolio Assist in due diligence efforts on potential direct, co-investment and fund investment opportunities, including developing materials to support internal investment approvals and contributing to cross-asset insights where relevant Prepare analysis of key industry developments, incorporating macroeconomic, regulatory, and technological trends (including AI) and assessing implications for portfolio positioning and total fund outcomes Contribute to the development of opportunity overviews and investment insights through the use of AI tools and data-driven research methods Support special initiatives and strategic projects led by the Infrastructure team, including portfolio analysis, market mapping, strategic partnerships, and cross-functional initiatives aligned with HOOPP’s strategic priorities Support the development and enhancement of HOOPP Infrastructure’s data and analytics capabilities to generate actionable insights and improve decision-making Contribute to portfolio-level analytics, including aggregation of asset-level data, to support Infrastructure’s role within the Total Portfolio Approach Assist in the innovation and continuous improvement of Infrastructure’s systems, tools, and data infrastructure, including integration with enterprise data platforms and investment analytics tools Execute on sustainability-related deliverables, contributing to portfolio decarbonization efforts, climate risk assessment, and alignment with HOOPP’s Net Zero commitments What you will bring: Enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus in business, finance, economics, or math is preferred, but not necessary Have a combination of strong analytical skills, strong work ethic, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to adapt quickly to a fast-paced environment All students (regardless of year of study) are encouraged to apply The expected hourly rate range for this role is $26.00 to $40.00 The actual hourly rate offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered.
