Want to work with highly motivated individuals on high-performance teams? Join WWT today! What will you be doing? As an Infrastructure Engineer – Cloud, you’ll sit at the center of WWT’s multi-cloud journey in a role that blends two of the things we value most: strong partnership and hands-on engineering. Your first focus is partnership. You’ll act as a liaison across the organization, working closely with our IAM, Network, Information Security, Platform and End User Services, and Observability teams, and directly with application and business units, to help them onboard to the cloud, adopt approved standards, and gain clear visibility into their cloud cost and usage. Your second focus is building. You’ll help extend WWT’s core infrastructure services (compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, operating systems, and Kubernetes) into the cloud, designing, automating, and operating them across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. With guidance from senior engineers, you’ll join an on-call rotation and make a direct impact on the reliability, security, and cost-efficiency of our environments. Above all, this is a learning and growth opportunity, ideal for a passionate, collaborative engineer with strong communication skills who is eager to deepen their cloud and infrastructure expertise while helping teams across the business succeed. RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a liaison that helps application and business teams onboard to cloud, guiding them through provisioning, approved standards, and self-service patterns. Maintain the cloud platform internal teams rely on, including standardized landing zones, tagging, and configuration baselines. Partner across teams such as Network, IAM, Information Security, and Observability, along with other engineering and business-unit teams, to bring the right controls, services, and support to each workload. Give teams visibility into their cloud cost and usage patterns, partnering with Finance/FinOps to surface optimization and right-sizing opportunities. Design, build, and operate core cloud infrastructure (compute, virtual machines, storage, virtualization, and Linux/Windows operating systems) across Azure, GCP, and OCI. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible/AWX, PowerShell, Python, Git, and CI/CD) to standardize provisioning and reduce manual effort. Work with the IAM and Information Security teams to ensure identity, access, and security controls are rolled out, and with the Observability team to configure monitoring, logging, and alerting. Maintain reliability through preventative maintenance, patching, capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery; execute change tickets with validation and tested rollback; and participate in an on-call rotation. Produce technical documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides, communicating clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
