Role Description This is a full-time remote role for an IP Medical Coder with a sign-on bonus and a Work From Home set-up as required by business needs. The IP Medical Coder will review inpatient medical records and assign accurate ICD-10-CM and PCS codes in accordance with official guidelines, payer rules, and facility policies. Responsibilities include validating clinical documentation for completeness, sequencing diagnoses and procedures correctly, and ensuring coding supports medical necessity and reimbursement requirements. The role involves working closely with clinical documentation specialists, billing teams, and auditors to clarify documentation, resolve coding issues, and reduce denials. The IP Medical Coder will also monitor coding updates, maintain productivity and quality standards, and participate in ongoing education and compliance initiatives.
