Insurance Associate

Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for an Insurance Associate. The Insurance Associate will manage insurance-related processes for patients, including verifying coverage, confirming eligibility, and coordinating authorizations with insurers and brokers. The role involves reviewing and interpreting insurance policies, supporting billing and reimbursement activities, and resolving insurance-related issues in collaboration with finance and administrative teams. The Insurance Associate will interact with patients and families to explain coverage options, respond to questions, and provide clear guidance in a respectful and empathetic manner. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and regulations, and contributing to process improvements that support efficient and transparent insurance operations.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Insurance and Insurance Brokerage practices, including policy interpretation and authorization workflows.
• Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and insurance representatives.
• Basic to intermediate Finance skills to support billing, reimbursement, and reconciliation of insurance-related transactions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, data entry, and confidential patient information.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and collaborate virtually with multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience in healthcare, hospital administration, or medical insurance environments is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency with office productivity software and insurance or hospital information systems.
• Relevant education in Business, Finance, Administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
