Insurance Domain Expert (SME) DataForce by TransPerfect seeks an Insurance Expert to guide AI model development across underwriting, claims, risk, pricing, and policy retention, ensuring accuracy, and compliance. DataForce by TransPerfect is seeking experienced Insurance Subject Matter Experts to support the development, evaluation, and enhancement of AI models across insurance processes. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in claim underwriting, processing, risk assessment, policy retention, and pricing to bridge domain knowledge with data-driven insights, ensuring AI systems are accurate, compliant, and aligned with industry standards and business objectives. Main Responsibilities: Collaborate with AI, data science, and product teams to evaluate AI models used in underwriting, claims processing, risk assessment, and pricing. Identify gaps, biases, and limitations in existing models and contribute domain insights for improvement. Validate AI outputs against real-world insurance practices, regulatory requirements, and customer experience standards. Define key metrics and success criteria to measure model performance and business relevance. Support data labeling and annotation by providing insurance-specific context and expertise. Assist in designing explainable AI frameworks to enhance model transparency and trustworthiness. Stay current with insurance regulations, compliance standards, and emerging AI applications in the sector. Role Requirements: 5+ years of experience in the insurance industry (underwriting, claims, risk modeling, policy, or product management). Hands-on experience in at least two of the following: prompt engineering or refinement of AI algorithms, rubric and “golden response” development, LLM evaluation/quality frameworks, or AI-driven financial/insurance analysis. Strong understanding of insurance operations, policy structures, and regulatory frameworks. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Insurance, Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Business, or a related field. Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
