Posted Thursday 27 August 2026 at 2:00 pm At Tassal, we believe insurance is more than policies and paperwork. It plays a critical role in protecting our people, operations and future growth. We're looking for an insurance professional who is ready to take the next step in their career. This is a unique opportunity to own insurance renewals, claims management and broker relationships across a national/global business while working directly with senior leaders and gaining exposure rarely available at this stage of a career. Reporting directly to the executive position of Chief Commercial & Risk Officer, you'll work alongside global insurers, industry-leading broker Marsh, Australian stakeholders and international colleagues to help deliver commercial insurance outcomes for Australia's leading seafood producer. What’s in it for you and the role? Unlike many insurance roles that sit deep within large corporate structures, this position offers direct exposure to executive leadership and strategic business decision making. Work directly with an Executive Team member, gaining exposure to strategic business decisions. Lead annual insurance renewals and help shape commercial strategies and outcomes. Partner with Marsh, global insurers and key Australian and international stakeholders. Manage a diverse insurance portfolio, including claims, policy administration, audits and compliance reporting. Provide commercial insights, improve insurance processes and build broader career capability. What You’ll Bring Experience in insurance, broking or a corporate insurance environment, including renewals, policy management and claims support. Strong attention to detail, organisation and commercial awareness, with the ability to balance operational requirements and the bigger picture. Confident communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver outcomes. A genuine interest in learning, development and career growth within a complex commercial environment. What We Offer Career Development: Direct access to senior leaders and strategic decision-making. Global Exposure: Work with Marsh, leading insurers and international stakeholders. Meaningful Work: Support a diverse Australian business spanning farming, hatcheries, processing and distribution. Supportive Leadership: Enjoy clear direction, autonomy and genuine development opportunities. Hybrid Working: Balance collaboration and flexibility with three days per week in the office. Birthday Leave: Take an additional day of leave to celebrate your birthday. Seafood Discounts: Access discounted Tassal seafood products. If you're looking to move beyond a purely transactional insurance role and develop your career through greater responsibility, executive exposure and broad business experience, we'd love to hear from you. Join Tassal and help protect and support one of Australia's leading food and aquaculture businesses while accelerating your own professional growth. Who are we?
