The Retention to Sales pathway is designed to build insurance knowledge, customer service expertise, and sales confidence. What You'll Learn Throughout your first six months, you'll gain experience in: Consultative selling Customer retention strategies Policy reviews and coverage analysis Carrier products and underwriting guidelines Insurance operations and book management CRM systems and sales pipeline management This hybrid position offers paid training and covers all costs associated with obtaining your Personal Lines Insurance License. Start Date : November 16, 2026 Training Schedule : Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. for your first 6 months. Training and Nesting is conducted virtually (remote from home). Hybrid Work Schedule : Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and every other Saturday with a day off during the week. (Monday, Friday, and Saturday are remote and Tuesday - Thursday in office) This role is currently assigned to 110 Royal Little Drive, Providence, RI as its hybrid reporting location. The club anticipates that this position may transition to the Lincoln, RI Insurance Center once additional space becomes available, currently targeted for mid-2027. What You’ll Do: Insurance Retention Responsibilities (90 days post-hire): Support strategic insurance retention and portfolio transition initiatives Contact policyholders regarding policy reviews, renewal opportunities, and available discounts Conduct coverage reviews with members and identify opportunities to preserve existing business Promote AAA Membership benefits and applicable insurance discounts Respond to inbound customer inquiries regarding policies and retention opportunities Develop familiarity with carrier products, underwriting guidelines, policy servicing, and insurance operations Maintain accurate customer records and documentation within CRM systems Insurance Sales Responsibilities (typically starting 6 months after hire and continuing thereafter) Sell auto insurance, homeowners' insurance, and other personal lines products to AAA members via phone and online Conduct outbound sales calls to prospective and existing members to promote insurance products Provide personalized coverage options and premium quotes Participate in sales programs and respond promptly to referrals Regulatory & Compliance Learn and follow carrier-specific underwriting and quoting procedures Ensure compliance with agency policies for quoting, binding coverage, and handling payments Collaborate with Underwriting and Quality Assurance to reduce risks and ensure accuracy Stay current on insurance regulations and best practices Additional Responsibilities Build strong relationships with clients and industry partners Deliver AAA Five Diamond Service in every interaction Cross-sell AAA memberships and other relevant services Occasionally travel for training (approx. 5%) Qualifications What You Need: Must have a quiet, dedicated home office space Reliable high-speed internet connection High School Diploma or GED; Associate's Degree preferred 2+ years sales or customer service experience Insurance sales experience preferred Outbound or cold-calling experience strongly preferred Licenses and Certifications Must obtain Personal Lines Insurance License within the first 30 days (training and exam fees covered by AAA Northeast) Life License within 1 Year Preferred Why AAA Northeast Career Growth: With ongoing world-class training and proven career paths, you'll have the opportunity to develop expertise and advance your career within AAA Northeast.
