Insurance Verification Specialist Behavioral Health- Remote Contract

Position: Benefit Verification Specialist Contract - Mental Health/Behavioral Health Location: Fully Remote MUST Live in Florida Schedule: Monday–Friday, Business Hours 8:30 AM - 5:00PM Essential Responsibilities Verify client insurance benefit information. Verify specific benefits and document plan details. Confirm client financial responsibilities, including deductibles and co-insurance. Communicate financial obligations with appropriate parties. Identify coverage restrictions and limitations. Ensure compliance with company policies and all regulatory requirements while protecting client privacy. Communicate benefit information accurately and timely to team members. Manage and upload patient documents, including insurance authorizations. Accurately document information in applicable systems. Review patient accounts. Additional Responsibilities Provide backup support to the Revenue Cycle team as needed. Attend assigned team meetings and training sessions. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Education & Experience Associate’s Degree, or High School Diploma with 3–5 years of insurance billing and collections experience. 3–5 years of experience serving as a liaison between insurance companies and family members/guarantors. Experience in Mental Health, Substance Use Disorder Treatment, or behavioral healthcare preferred Skills & Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of customer service.
