100% Remote / Work-From-Home Position

This role is for the game development team working on Abiotic Factor.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Identify, document, and report issues such as bugs, exploits, accessibility barriers, and QoL concerns
• Test the functionality of newly implemented features
• Test to confirm if bug fixes were successful
• Verify whether or not previously documented issues are current
• Investigate and determine replication steps for issues
• Perform feature regression testing
• Identify and escalate critical issues
• Conduct Build Verification Tests
• Ensure the BVT documentation templates are kept up to date with new features or changes
• Document, triage, and process issues reported from staff and internal playtests
• Assist with various QA maintenance projects and other related tasks as needed
• Work with the QA Team Lead to refine existing testing processes and pipelines where necessary

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of direct QA experience with PC-based games
• A deep passion for the role - someone who lives and breathes QA
• Ability to work in the New Zealand time zone
• A reliable second PC setup available for client testing
• Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to pivot to different tasks effectively as needed
• High attention to detail while balancing time constraints
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well as part of a team and independently
• Working knowledge of bug tracking systems, documentation requirements, and testing methodologies
• Patience, persistence, and resilience to fatigue brought on by repetitious testing

Preferred Qualifications:

• Console-based games testing experience (PS5, Xbox Series S/X, etc.)
• Crossplay testing experience
• Console User Generated Content/modding support testing experience

We offer:

• Salary range: $65 - $75K NZD (depending on experience)
• KiwiSaver contributions on top of salary (if NZ Resident/eligible)
• 40 hours per week (includes paid meal and rest breaks)
