Intermediate or Senior Fire Engineer –
100% remote available, fully flexible, small high-trust team.
Surefire has been delivering solid work for a loyal client base over the past 6-7 years. Due to a continuing strong pipeline of projects, we are now looking to add a key person to our close-knit team.
We operate differently than the larger firms. We have a flat structure, a very low-stress environment and a straightforward approach. We operate entirely on word-of-mouth and long-term client relationships, so the quality of our engineering and how we communicate is everything.
We are looking for a trustworthy, self-directed Intermediate or Senior Fire Engineer who enjoys taking ownership of their projects from start to finish.
What the role looks like:
- True Flexibility: We are a family-friendly business that knows life doesn't always fit neatly into a 9-to-5. We offer full flexibility on your location and hours (within reason to maintain availability to our clients and to meet deadlines). If you want to work from home 100% of the time, that works perfectly for us.
- Technical Focus: You will need full, self-sufficient working ability with C/AS2 and C/VM2.
- Autonomy: You’ll run your own projects and manage your own time. We hire adults and trust them to deliver. Less time navigating internal processes, more time solving actual engineering problems.
- Direct Impact: You'll work alongside the directors and directly with clients. Your contribution will be visible and valued.
Who we are looking for: You are technically capable, commercially aware, and comfortable managing your own workload. You take pride in delivering practical solutions, you do what you say you will do, and you prefer a low-bureaucracy environment where everyone simply pulls their weight.
