The role will primarily support project financing and underwriting duties for Community Solar, Battery Energy Storage (BESS) and Distributed Compute, including developing and manipulating financial models, updating project pipelines, and creating executive-level presentations for investors, lenders , and internal leadership. Secondarily, they will assist with tracking , researching, and summarizing state renewable energy policy developments. This includes legislation, public utility commission proceedings, tax incentive structures, procurement programs, and permitting and siting rules. Primary Responsibilities Support senior Structured Finance team members in evaluating, underwriting, and executing tax equity, debt, and preferred equity financings through financial analysis, due diligence, and the development and maintenance of sophisticated financial models Develop executive-ready presentations, business cases, briefing materials, and visual communications that clearly convey complex information to team and leadership audiences Conduct market and industry research, evaluate third-party and consultant data sources, monitor emerging trends, and communicate key findings to internal stakeholders Support strategic initiatives and special projects by preparing analyses and materials for team reviews, organizing discussions, and business decision forums Create briefings on individual markets, including utility planning materials, load growth, and local policy Participate in industry group, trade association, and stakeholder working group calls, synthesizing key insights for development teams Support quantitative analysis of market and policy data, including interconnection queue analysis and pricing trends Desired Skills & Experience Currently pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Studies, Civil Engineering, Energy Systems, Urban Planning, Business, or a related field Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including proficiency in Excel Self-motivated, proactive learner who can quickly ramp up in a dynamic environment Creative problem solver with an interest in improving processes and streamlining operations Detail-oriented and self-motivated achiever with ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines Excellent internal and external communication skills Enthusiasm and passion for the renewable energy industry
