Intern - Data Scientist

Working on the Automotive team focusing on using data to better understand and connect with current and potential customers. The Auto team seeks an intern working toward a master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or similar graduate degree. As part of their studies, ideal candidates should be focused on marketing analytics, data science and visualization, business analysis and (but not limited to) statistics and market research. Familiarity with data platforms, analytics and visualization solutions like Google Cloud Platform, Google Analytics, Tableau and Looker is also preferred. Internship details: The internship will begin January 11th, 2027 20-25 hours/week work dedication during the semester and up to 40/week during breaks and summer Anticipated graduation date between December 2027 - May 2028 What you will do: Leverage education and experience in data visualization to support data-driven storytelling initiatives across the tower focusing on GM as a first priority. Leverage Acxiom’s data and data available through established partnerships with brands like Equifax, Polk and Commerce Signals to develop opportunities for creating high-value audiences and other models. Help coordinate and prepare for activities designed to build, test and perfect data solution Apply algorithms relying on knowledge of statistical modeling to improve the performance/quality of existing products Build, evaluate and optimize models Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand business and insight goals Collaborate with other data scientists and team leads to define requirements including data sources, patterns, and implementation Work with the account team to transition development projects to production systems What you will need: Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters in Business, Coursework in a quantitative field (Data Science, Statistics, Math) or related degree programs Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software is a plus.
