Job Description Intern - Human Resources - Employee Growth & Learning Enablement As a Gilead intern you will contribute to high-impact meaningful projects that will not only further advance our company’s mission but will allow you to gain real world experience at one of the most innovative organizations in the world. You will also have opportunities to participate in special events including professional development and leadership presentations, social/network building activities and local community volunteer programs. We are seeking a curious, analytical, and innovative HR Intern to join our Talent & Growth Team , reporting to the Senior Director, Employee Growth & Learning Enablement . This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting the team responsible for advancing Growth@Gilead , our enterprise strategy focused on creating a culture where employees can continuously learn, grow, and thrive. The successful candidate will work on enterprise-wide initiatives aimed at understanding the needs of our diverse global workforce, enhancing employee growth experiences, and helping shape the future of learning at Gilead. This role is ideal for someone passionate about people, data, employee experience, innovation, and the application of AI in the workplace. As part of a dynamic team transforming how employees discover and access growth opportunities, this intern will contribute to meaningful work that impacts employees across the organization. Key Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: Analyze employee data, feedback, and workforce trends to identify opportunities to enhance growth, learning, and career development experiences across Gilead. Partner with employees across a diverse global workforce to gather insights, test ideas, and help shape solutions that improve the employee growth and learning experience. Support the design, development, and delivery of Growth@Gilead initiatives, resources, and learning experiences that enable employees to build capabilities, explore opportunities, and achieve their career aspirations. Explore and apply AI tools and emerging technologies to improve how the internal team and employees discover, access, and engage with growth and learning opportunities. Contribute as a core team member to the implementation of Gilead's AI-powered Growth Hub to drive employee adoption. Showcase your work with a final presentation (PPT) near the conclusion of your internship Required Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age at the start of the internship. Must be enrolled full‑time in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, MBA, JD or PhD program at a nationally accredited U.S. college or university, with continued full‑time enrollment required in the Fall semester following the internship. Must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate (freshman, sophomore, junior, or senior) or as a graduate/doctoral student. Must have a minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 at the time of application and hire (official transcripts will be requested). Must be independently authorized to work in the United States now and in the future (current or future work authorization must not require school or employer sponsorship) official transcripts are required. Must be able to commit to a full‑time internship lasting 10–12 consecutive weeks between May and August. Must be willing and able to work at the designated site for the duration of the internship (relocation may be required). All internships are hybrid; fully remote roles are not offered. Preferred Qualifications : Preferred degree level : Undergrade, Graduate, MBA, PhD, JD, or PharmD (based on role alignment) Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insights. Demonstrated interest in employee development, learning, employee experience, or organizational psychology. Passion for understanding diverse employee populations and creating inclusive experiences that support growth and development. Interest in AI, emerging technologies, and the future of work. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a collaborative environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office (MS Office) tools, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Curiosity, creativity, and a growth mindset with a desire to make a meaningful impact. Gilead considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including education level and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary.
