Internal Audit Program Manager

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: 8pm to 5am (Philippines) Primary Function/General Purpose of Position : Supports non-complex internal audit projects in alignment with the Ministry’s audit plan. This role supports risk assessment, audit performance, follow-up and ongoing communication of risks, results and mitigation efforts. This position develops appropriate documentation to support audit work performed and supports audit analytics, process documentation and reporting activities related to basic, non-complex audits across the Ministry. Essential Job Functions : Assists in risk assessment process and preparation of audit plan that focuses on high-risk areas. Conducts independent, non-complex audits according to the audit plan and develops appropriate documentation to support audit work performed. Validate operational and financial processes and controls, assess control effectiveness and identify potential gaps. Measures and tracks the results of audits performed through action plan follow-up procedures. Performs testing of basic, non-complex controls and transactions and documents exceptions or issues identified during testing activities. Prepare reports of findings and proposed action plans for each audit for management . Drafts process narratives, flowcharts, Risk and Control Matrices (RACMs) and audit programs to document processes and controls within assigned audit areas. Supports audit planning activities by researching prior audit results and studies, engaging stakeholders, gathering relevant data and assisting with project timeline development. Tracks and monitors remediation plans and prior audit issues, including follow-up with action plan owners regarding implementation progress and due dates. Assists in the preparation of audit reports for presentations to management and governance; may present findings to management as appropriate. Prepares and communicates meeting agendas, status reports, and updates to facilitate timely and proactive discussions with immediate supervisors and senior leadership regarding ongoing audit activities and emerging issues. Keeps current on industry trends and areas of interest through utilization of industry research and knowledge resources. Displays a commitment to excellence, accuracy and thoroughness in all activities, and searches for ways to improve and promote quality. Licensing/Certification Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor CIA, or Certified Information Systems Auditor ( CISA) (required) Education Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or any related field (required) Master’s degree in business or accounting (preferred) Work Experience 5+ years of experience in auditing (required) 1+ years of experience in healthcare (required) Experience supporting U.S. teams or global shared services environments (preferred) Knowledge and experience with IIA’s Internal Auditing Standards in a healthcare system environment (preferred) As a Bon Secours Mercy Health associate, you’re part of a Mission that matters.
